"Hey, mas Bima. I'm here with someone who misses you!"
Aulia was giggling, and Laila was smiling awkwardly. But nothing compared to Lusiana's expression between outrage and desperation, so she could only smile. A weak smile.
"Where are you now? I'm in a convenience store right now."
"I'm in your former crush's house."
Lusiana still said nothing. And she could hear him saying something to reply to Aulia.
"What do you mean?"
"Remember... Lusiana?"
"No." Then Bimasakti hangs up the call. Aulia laughed so hard, but no one was answering her laugh.
"Uhm, Aulia, how do you know him?" Asked Laila.
"Mas Bima is my friend, technically. And I matched him with Lusiana."
"And you do know that the tension between them was as cold as ice, and you chose to call him upon her?"
"But I think you should know this, Laila. Since you're in our circle now."
"What circle?" asked Lusiana suddenly. "Oh, do you mean the circle where there was Abimanyu, and you left or just some friendship between us?"
"Why do you still bring Abimanyu in our conversation? Nothing happened, okay?"
"Then why did you suddenly leave our chat group and not show when it was our hang-out routine?"
"I was busy, and he knew about it."
"Oh, so another your secret conversation with Abimanyu that I should never know?"
"Okay, what is going on between you three?" Asked Laila.
"Honestly, La, I don't know either. They both have their telepathy, and I could never know about it. And when I joined the picture, all of sudden they got me with a stranger like the one she just called."
"But you did love him, right, Lusiana?"
"Was it relevant right now?"
"What do you think, Laila?"
"Hmm, I say that you, Aulia, are a bit too far. We were only asking about Abimanyu, and we wouldn't push you if you refused to talk about it. But instead of joining our conversation about works and other stuff, you suddenly told me a relationship that Lusiana was pissed about."
"But do you know why she was pissed?"
"Hmm, what happened?"
"Aulia! Do not tell her!"
Lusiana freaked out. And part of her couldn't believe if Aulia would tell Laila that she was a friend of a probably a bisexual person. It was still a taboo in their city, and Laila would never accept it too much.
But of course, Laila heard the story of them without that reality.
"They were complicated for sure. Yes, I made Lusiana meet him, to know each other. But then one of them said no, and then the other said no, and it made the other freaked out, and they needed me to glue them again. So toxic."
"That's it? You told Laila I met him in 2017, and after four years of knowing each other, our relationship was as short of that?"
"Do you want to tell the truth?"
Aulia was playing the card beautifully. She knew Lusiana was too good until it was forbidden to her to tell Bimasakti's orientation because it was like his sin. Hence, the truth about Bimasakti's sexual preference would never come out of Lusiana's mouth.
