"Marviiiiii~"
No way in hell.
Marvin turned towards Ray, his face filled with malice. Leaning in, he whispered, "You did NOT tell me she's coming with us." He sneaked a glance at the youth in front of them.
"Uh, yeah, actually as today is Saturday and all, mom calls and almost blows my ear off about how I never spend quality time with my 'sweet little sister'. I swear I had no choice! That woman doesn't leave me alone even after I moved out."
They were heading off to a quiet roadside cafe to have a peaceful lunch followed by visiting the dvd store and renting a horror flick. But now that wold not be possible. The said 17 year old blondie was Lucy, and she never knew how to shut up. Other than that, the day would usually turn into an activity of loitering in crowded malls, noisy arcades and never ending chatter. Marvin could usually stand Lucy, but today he was a ticking bomb of frustration ready to blow up. He stuffed his earphones into his ears and blasted his ipod (yes, he still depended on his ipod, a man of 25) and followed the blondes.
After reaching the cafe, they were escorted to their seats and placed an order.
"Marvin. Marvin. Mavin!"
Marvin looked up.
Ray gestured towards the earphones and Marvin complied.
"Yeah?"
"I was thinking, you're too tensed. We should loosen you up."
"SHWOPING!"
"Lucy, chew first." Ray rolled his eyes, "And no. I was thinking after we drop that one off," he jerked his thumb towards Lucy, "We should head to The Cage."
Lucy's eyes went wide, "You're going to a club?!" Take me take me take me too!" If she had a tail, she'd wag it.
"You're underage, and mom would not approve. Forget approve, she'd flip. Period."
"She doesn't have to know and -" she rummaged through her purse, taking out something looking like an ID card...
Driving license. "Ta-da! I'm 23!"
"Lucy!" Ray shook his head in disapproving big brother manner. This was Marvin's turn to widen his eyes, "That's quite cool, where'd you get it made?"
"That's a secret."
"Marv don't encourage her!" But Ray's tone already turned playful. The three of them grinned.
Marvin's mood was finally lifted. So when Lucy linked her arm with his and demanded to go shopping for the night, he found himself not being against that.
...
"That was..."
"...Tiring."
"Oh COME ON old men! It hasn't even been 3 hours! It's like, 5 o'clock and we still need to visit Hottopic. Now get your asses off this bench and march forward!" The blonde bounced up and down like a beach ball, earning glances from unneeded audience."Lucy! First of all, stop jumping: you're giving those punks a free show," Marvin nodded in agreement, " And secondly... We need some ice-cream." Marvin nodded twice.
"Pfft, alright you'll get your ice-cream. Let's go!" And she didn't stop bouncing. She could turn into 'Bounce' from the game 'Bounce' and bounce away and no one would spot the difference.
"Well, we have to restrain her soon but for now, let's see that she doesn't kill anyone." Ray announced with a serious tone, then winked and stood up.
"Yeah, I'll join in 5."
Huffing and puffing, Marvin found them 'fangirling' at a cd store.
"I've been looking for you FOREVER. Even went to Forever new and Forever 21! I thought you'd be at Hottopic."
