Quiet humming paired with the sound of mouse clicks could be heard. Mizuki stared at the screen in front of them. They were trying to figure out what else they could add to their latest project when someone started speaking.

"Hey, Amia. How much work have you finished?"

Enanan asked using the Nightcord mic. Mizuki had used most of what Enanan had sent them, with only one digital art piece remaining. The MV they were working on matched what she had drawn perfectly. The dark hues went well with the lyrics Yuki had put together.

"I'm almost done with everything, I just need to finish the ending. But you really outdid yourself this time- with the art i mean"

"Of course I work hard all the time it pays off" She said as to dismiss the compliment. Mizuki knew she was blushing at their words though.

"You're really obvious you know"

'Seems like Yuki noticed' Mizuki thought. Yuki no longer tried to put on a facade when talking to the group and that relieved them.

"Shut up Yuki. It's not my fault that someone talentless like me has to work hard unlike others who can effortlessly thrive."

'That must've angered her quite a lot. I should step in before things get out of hand.'

"Amia... do you happen to have the clothing I gave you?" Surprisingly, K broke both of them up with her question. She barely spoke and when she did it wasn't for long. But Mizuki enjoyed their conservations.

"...Have you also gotten time to fix them?"

"Yup, I sewed it up yesterday. Wanna see?" One of K's sweats had a hole in it, and since K didn't feel like buying a new one Mizuki decided to fix it for her.

"Please"

Mizuki had gotten up before they had even heard her response. They made their way over to the drawers next to their bed.

"Where did I put it again?" They mumbled to themselves. They opened the first drawer and a paper came flying out. They bent over and picked it up.

"Dear future self... oh" it was a letter from a while ago. Back when they were in middle school. They had completely forgotten about it.

'Has anything changed? Am I still an outcast? Do I still spend days on the rooftops and skip school? Do they still laugh behind my back? Do I look any different? Most of all, do I have any friends I can call my own?' It said in bad handwriting as if it was written in a rush.

As if to answer themselves they thought, 'A lot has changed. While I still skip school, I no longer go to the rooftop trying to get away from their gazes full of judgement. I'm enlisted in a virtual school now, so I'm no longer required to see their faces; with a few exceptions here and there of course.'

'I grew out my hair and took better care of my skin. I also wear more feminine clothes. It makes people mock me even more than before, though I can deal with it since these changes make me feel more comfortable in my body. Our big sis supported me through my transition. She even gave me a ribbon that I wear to this day.'

'And I finally have some friends I met online. We're all in a group called Nightcord at 25:00 am. Even though we've had a few bumps so far, I'm really hopeful for the future. I even know them in real life. We still refer to each other with our online aliases but maybe one day we'll finally use our real names.' They smiled fondly at that thought.

'While I'm still scared of what might happen once we get closer and of what they'll think of me once I finally tell them. I want to be with them. I've never felt this way. Not even with our rooftop friend since we were both outcasts and we knew that. They make me happy. And while it may sound selfish, I want to spend as much time with them as possible before they reject the true me. I want to stay in this moment forever but i know that's impossible, one day I'll have to be truthful with them. But for now, I want to enjoy these precious moments we'll have together.

'Does that answer everything, younger me?' They stroked the letter gently still deep in thought.

"Mizuki are you okay?"

K said. They forgot about what they were doing in the first place.

"Coming!"

They shouted across the room hoping she could hear them. They folded the letter carefully and placed it somewhere safe. Then they grabbed the jacket out of the same drawer where the letter fell from. They walked over to their monitor and switched the camera on.

"Here! Doesn't look as good as new?"

They said with a big grin on their face as they held it up.

"Yeah, you're really good at sewing Amia"

"I also have some old clothes, could you teach me how to sew them up?"

"Anytime Enanan- actually I have an idea"

Mizuki had a great excuse for all of them to hang out together.

"Oh?" Enanan replied

"I know a really good place to learn how to sew, we can all go together!"

"That would be nice" K added

"My mother probably won't let me, you know, studying."

Yuki said blankly. Mizuki understood. After all, they had seen the way she pressured Yuki into working.

"Who cares about that prickly mom of yours, you deserve a break" Mizuki truly meant what they said.

"...Okay, I'll tell my mother I'm going to the library "

When the time comes they'll say goodbye. But for now, Mizuki was gonna make most of their time with these wonderful friends they found.
