William had made his way to work already, it was a beautiful morning and no matter how much william offered a ride I still decided to walk to work.
I was enjoying the smell of the dew, the weather was warm but the breeze added a bit of chill, as I walked I seen flowers that were grown, I decided to stop to smell them
"y/n?" A voice questioned, I stood back up and turned to greet whoever said my name
"Ryder! Hi!" I greeted ryder who seemed to be walking with a little boy "Is this your son?"
"This is, Hades say hi" Ryder knelt down beside his son, his son gave me a small wave
"Hi hades" I said as I gave him a small wave, ryder stood back up
"You walking to work?" Ryder asked, I gave him a small nod in conformation "Mind if we join you? I have an interview there anyway"
"I'd enjoy the company" I said as I turned to walk back on the sidewalk "Why are you coming back to freddys?"
"I don't necessarily want too but I gotta take care of my kid somehow" Ryder said with a small laugh, I seen freddys in the distance
"I'm assuming Henry will be doing the interview, I got some paperwork to do" I said as we turned on the sidewalk and walked towards the diner "If you want I can watch your son while you're in there"
"Really? That would mean a lot!" Ryder said his mood lifted
"Of course!" I said as we walked into the diner, Ryder holding the door for me and his son, I looked around and didn't see william or eve anywhere, I shook that off and led the way back to henry's office
"Henry, he's here for the interview" I said as I walked into henry's office, he had his door open, I seen william standing near the back wall
"Thank you for bringing him in, y/n" Henry said as he turned in his chair to greet us, he looked down and seen Hades "Oh, is he gonna be an issue?"
"No sir, y/n offered to watch him" Ryder said with a bit of anxiety in his voice, I put a hand on Ryders back to reassure him, out of the corner of my eye I seen william walking towards the door, he seemed angry
"I'll leave you two to the interview" I said "Come on, Hades" I held my hand out for the little boy to take, he grabbed my hand and we walked out and to my office, I set him down on the couch and gave him some papers that weren't important to play with. He's 1 after all, it doesn't take much to entertain them
I sat down in my chair and started the cameras up, I took the stack of papers on my desk and started to sort through them, I could hear the rustling of paper behind me, it didn't bother me much.
After a few minutes of me reading through papers and ordering supplies I heard little feet walking behind me, hades stood next to me and I looked down at him
"Nom" Hades said as he looked up at me, I gave him a small smile before lifting him into my lap
"Are you hungry?" I asked him, he gave me a quick nod, I stood up and put him on my hip, it was still early in the morning so pizza wasn't being made yet so I took him to the prize counter that also held some snacks
"What do you want, bud?" I said as I leaned into the glass, he pointed at a bag of chips, I opened the case and grabbed them, closing the case I walked over to a table and sat down with him, I opened the bag for him and held it as he reached in and grabbed a chip
"Watching the newbies son, huh?" William said as he walked over to the table, I made sure no one was around, I then put my hands over Hades ears
"The 'newbie' is the one you stabbed all those years ago, the one who called the police on you" I finished my sentence and took my hands off hades ears
"Ryder?" William said as he sat down besides me, I nodded my head as I watched hades grab another chip
"You might have to stay under the name dave until further notice" I spoke now looking over at william, he seemed tense
"You walked to work with him? Is that why you didn't want a ride?" William said, trying to hide his anger
"William, no. I was smelling flowers and he was already walking to freddys so we ended up walking together" I said, I noticed ryder walking back out "It wasn't planned" I grabbed hades off the table and brought him back over to his dad
"Thank you so much for watching him"Ryder said as I handed his son back to him, I seen a shirt in his hand
"So you got hired?" I questioned as I pointed to the uniform, Ryder looked down at it for a second
"Yes! I did" Ryder said, his mood has lifted from when he first walked in "Oh who's this?" Ryder asked, I looked behind me and seen william walking up
"This is Dave Miller, he was hired a couple of months ago" I lied to ryder, william put a smile on and held his hand out for ryder to shake
"Well I suppose we'll be working together" William said as ryder shook his hand
"The names Ryder and I guess we will" Ryder said as he took his hand back "Well I should get going, I'll see you guys tomorrow" Ryder said as he made his way to the front, I gave him a small wave
As ryder walked out, Eve walked in. She was about an hour late. The minute she saw us she gave a fake smile to me, william definitely noticed this as I felt him put a hand on my waist
"I have paperwork to do" I said as I turned around to meet william, I put a hand on his chest and went on my tippy toes, I kissed william, he held into my lower back as he kissed me back
"Better get to it" William said as he pulled away, I gave him a smile before walking away, I noticed eve's smile had faded and was now replaced with a straight line, her jaw was very obviously clenched
I thought nothing of it and made my way into my office, I sat down in my chair and got to work
