BrrrrrrringAs the alarm clock went off with an ear-blasting sound, Seokjin woke up with a throbbing headache. Groaning, he reached out for the glass of water placed on the side table, taking a sip and slowly getting out of the bed.
The sound of coffee brewing in the machine could be heard mixing with the sound of vegetables chopping in the background. Usually, this is his morning routine. Making himself breakfast, going through his official emails while savouring the taste of coffee and then studying for his University classes. Today is also the same, the morning followed by the same repetitive routine but it's no different at the same time.
How the day feels Seokjin can't tell. If it's good or bad. But the difference is visible in the way Seokjin glances at the clock from time to time, spending a bit extra time in his skincare routine, the way he hums music while cooking and the way he feels more energetic. It's different. Today is the day of Kim Taehyung's engagement and also the day he is gonna confess his feelings to Jungkook. It's all together exciting, nerve spiking and frightening at the same time that Seokjin feels chills of nervousness rush through him.
Sipping on the cup of hot coffee, Seokjin tried to ease out the throbbing headache that occured from last night's intense activities when Namjoon came over to his place. It was supposed to be a bro's night together with both cousins drinking, talking, playing games, just catching up with each other as both of them couldn't meet often for their own busy schedules and other issues.
But things didn't go as smoothly as it was supposed to when Namjoon brought up the topic of his mother again along with the engagement party Taehyung's which is supposed to be today.
**Flashback**
"Hyung!! You are cheating!" Jin laughed nudging Namjoon's left shoulder slightly as his car was hit by Namjoon's one on the screen. Right now both cousins were busy in a car racing game. Whoever losses would have to pay for the takeout dinner and as will as getting to order all their favourites.
It's a ridiculous bet actually considering their status. Both of the cousins are the 1st liner top bachelor in the country. Even buying some restaurants in a minute or two is nothing to them but still, the victory, the joy and contentment that lies in eating free food are on another level thing.
So, they both wrestled with each other to win. It was nice. Seokjin's own little paradise with his brother is one of the rare moments he cherishes so much.
And lastly, they were having dinner and talking about random topics and of course Namjoon is the one paying as he lost the bet which is pretty much intentional, Seokjin assumes.
"And Oh my God! Dad was scared shitless!!" Namjoon squeaked, letting out a high pitched laugh, rolling on the sofa.
"Yeah, I remember. Though not a good memory to remember." Seokjin said grinning as he took another bite of his pizza slice.
"Yeah. But you actually cried to Dad for thinking you hurt him with the little stunt you pulled!?" Namjoon laughed and Seokjin just made faces that say 'dude, that's not funny at all.'
"Those were some days to remember." Namjoon sighed.
"Yeah, It was." Seokjin agreed, nodding his head absent-mindedly with his smile slowly fading which didn't go unnoticed by Namjoon and immediate regret filled him up for reminding Seokjin of the past. The silence after that dragged on for a long as both of them kept quiet until Namjoon decided to speak again, "Umm... Seokjin. Are you sure about going to Kim Taehyung's engagement?" He asked after a bit of continent with himself, slow and unsure.
