10-Assassination

"JESS" yelled a man from the stands.
"NonoNo" the man jumped into the arena. He ran over to where Jess was. He felt for a pulse "you killed her" the man points in the general idea of where the emperor was sat "I warned you what would happen if you got her killed" "and what are you going to do you useless blind man" the emperor taunted "this" a throwing dagger was thrown. It hit its target. Well not exactly. It landed in the wood behind the emperor leaving a small scratch in the side of the neck. Everyone gasped. "You had my sister killed for your entertainment," the man yelled. "Guards sees him" the guards charged, but it was to late the man had made his way over to the gates to the prisoners and released the ones that were still alive. The prisoners charged at the guards. Among the kayos the man slipped away.

What people failed to realise was whilst hiccup distracted the crowd and assassinate the emperor, iris was caring the nocked out figure away and out of sight.

"Well well look who's awake" hiccup said walking towards her the tapping of his stick loud on the concrete floor. Jess groaned, his head was pounding and the constant tapping wasn't helpful. The tapping stopped and a blurred figure of hiccup sat next to Jess who was lying on what felt like a rock. The area was dark so you could barely see anything, but the breeze suggested they were in some sort of cave or tunnel. "Welcome to our base Jess, the one we are developing in Rome that is. We plan on using there drains as escape method, a way to slip away, we are tunnelling under Rome as we speak, and then the tunnels will go all the way out far enough that you can fly in on dragons unnoticed by the citizens." Hiccup explained "That's brilliant, how long have you been working on this" "how long were you in jail" iris asks "5 days give or take" "then five days give of take" "wait so instead of making sure I was ok or watching over me you went off and started this" "well obviously, after all how else did you expect us to get out of there" "wait what about the emperor, you barely left a scratch on him" "the upside of a poisoned dagger, it doesn't matter if you only leave a scratch, the poison still takes affect." Hiccup answers. "Remember Jess I'm blind it would raise suspicion if I had hit my target with no training or sight." "Oh yeah, so how'd you get so much progress done?" "that would be dragon boy here, he managed to find a nest of whispering deaths and a screaming death that was willing to help as long as they were aloud to live with us and we would protect and feed them." Iris answers. "Pretty good deal as the base will be secure enough to start designing in 2 days time and that is when everyone can arrive and we will have another home base to ad to the list." "Anyway now that your awake we can go and get our money" "shouldn't we be laying low" "no I need to but you and iris don't as no one will care about you or isis the guards have been ordered to look for me as the emperor is now dead and the poison on the dagger was found" hiccup said as he handed jess her weapons and armour "now go give iris backup something tells me our client won't be willing to pay"
