Some people describe shadow traveling as a horrible experience full of tortured screams and suffocating darkness. Looking at you Percy. But for me, it's kind of like comforting darkness that surrounds you gently before leaving you where you intended to go. We stepped out of the darkness and into the main room of the big house. Most of the head counselors were seated around the ping pong table casually chatting amongst themselves while Chiron looked on pensively. "Josey, Annabeth, Percy, good you're here. Now the only people we're waiting on are Leo and Calypso. They should be here in the next few minutes."

I walked over to the couch and sat next to Nate leaning my head on his shoulder. He put his arm around me and pressed a kiss to my temple. Everyone was in a somber mood. We hadn't had a very serious prophecy in 2 years since the prophecy of seven. Chiron was quietly conversing with Rachel, no doubt trying to decipher the prophecy. At that moment Leo and Calypso walked in quietly bickering but laughing at the same time. "Hello everyone, do not fear. The Mc Shizzle is here!" Leo announced while Calypso just smiled fondly at him. "Good, you're here. We can now begin. Please take a seat around the ping pong table."

We all got up and made our way around the table. I went and sat next to Nico. "Who do you think this one's going to involve, or do think we're just going to have to volunteer?" I asked him in a hushed tone. "I'm not sure but knowing our luck, probably one of us or Percy," He chuckled at himself and lent away to ask Will something.

"Rachel, would you mind repeating the prophecy for us?"Chiron asked her in a tired voice. No doubt bored of this after doing it for thousands of years. I can't blame him like.

"Okay guys, you ready for this?"Rachel asked as her eyes turned glowing green. Because this wasn't the initial time of saying the prophecy, there was no smoke or mysterious voice, she just had even more green eyes and spoke in her own voice.

"On the day of twice lightning strikes,

In the place of liberty,

Bright shadows cast.

It comes the time of fire burning blue,

When two brothers turn and challenge and eternal night."

With that, her eyes returned to their normal amount of green and she slumped forward in her chair a bit, obviously tired. "Thank you for that Rachel. Now we need to issue a quest and decide who goes. Since it doesn't specify someone to lead the quest, we're just going to have to get volunteers. You all know, 3 people. Four at the very most. Now I'll let you come to a conclusion among yourselves and then we'll have a discussion."

Everyone broke off into groups talking amongst themselves. "Would it be crazy if I said I wanted to go? I haven't been on a quest in ages and I want to do something that's not school" I said. It's true, I've gotten bored of the mortal life. A couple of monsters just doesn't do it. A little action is good sometimes. "Well if you're going then I'm going to. We've never been on a quest together and I don't want you to be alone anymore." Nate said to me. That was so sweet. AAGH! I might just die of cuteness. "That's adorable Amore. Let's do this together then." He smiled at me and ran his thumb over the back of my hand.

After about five minutes of discussion, we were called back to the table to decipher the prophecy and to issue a quest. "Now, before we pick people to go, I think it's a good idea to try and figure out what it means. So please, ideas" Chiron told us. "Well, I think that the 'eternal night' part could refer to the Primordial Goddess Nyx. She is the Goddess of night after all," Annabeth suggested.

"Yeah, that's what Chiron and I were thinking but why would she do something like cause 'eternal night?' "Rachel countered. I had also been thinking along the same lines as Annabeth. Nyx is really the only Goddess it could mean. "I don't know why it would be her, but she's the only one who makes sense, I agree with Annabeth," I added.

"Okay, so if that bit means Nyx, 'In the place of liberty has to mean the Statue of Liberty. I mean, where else has Liberty associated with it. It only makes sense. Right?" Leo offered. "That's actually a good suggestion repair boy," Piper laughed, "But in all seriousness, I agree. It does make sense. Maybe that's where the quest should start."

"And 'lightning stikes' probably refers to Zeus, because when isn't he involved?" Percy complained. "You're probably right Percy. So we know that Zeus is involved, it should start at the Statue of Liberty, and Nyx is thrown in there somewhere. Now we need volunteers to go," Chiron summarized for us, "Anybody want to go?"

"Well, um... Beth and I don't really want to go. We've already done a lot of quests and been involved in a great prophecie twice for Gods sakes. Also, we've only just started college together," Percy said, I understand. It's not fair for him to go on another quest. "That's fair Percy, I wasn't going to suggest you anyway. You've done a lot for the Gods." Chiron agreed.

"I would actually like to go. School's boring at the minute," I laughed. "And I want to as well. I haven't been part of a proper quest yet," Nate said. "Okay, we have two volunteers. I need 1 or 2 more. Anyone?" Chiron pulled away from the table and looked at everyone.

A quiet voice piped up from beside me, "I want to go too," I was a little surprised that Nico volunteered. "Well, you're not going alone. I coming whether you like it or not sunshine. Count me in too Chiron," Will said in a very serious voice. That was his doctor voice. If you messed with him when he used that voice, you didn't want to know what was coming after.

"Very well, you four are our questers. You will leave at 12 noon tomorrow from half-blood hill. Pack and rest tonight, I will see you tomorrow. Good afternoon everyone, meeting dismissed." As he said this Chiron rolled away from the table and into his office.

What do you think of the prophecy? I'm actually very proud of it. It took quite a while to figure the plot out to make one lmao.
