You wake up on the floor. It was cold cement and your body hurt especially your head. You were afraid to open your eyes. Were you even alive? You began to move your hands feeling around. There was nothing. Just the cold cement. Slowly, you peak and open your left eye. The room was dim but when your eyes adjusted you could see the silhouettes of what was around you. It looked to be an empty garage, there was a desk with a computer on it and a few shelves around. The shelves had a bunch of tools on it and the desk was freshly cleaned. A few papers laid on top of it.
You lightly rub your head a light groan escaping your mouth.
You slowly get up and your legs began to tremble. You felt as if you were going to stumble over. You hold onto one of the shelves for support as you walk to the door which you assumed led into a house. You slowly open in putting a crack between the door and it's frame. You peak outside and from what you could see it was a living room. It was empty although the TV was going off. The couch wasn't facing you so you couldn't see if anyone was possibly laying on it. You then close the door and look around for the light switch. You find it and flick the switch. Nothing happens.
The lights must not work in here. You searched around for any sort of weapon and if your lucky some sort of medicine to help with the hankering pain in your head. You walk up to the massive garage door and search for a button to possibly open it. There wasn't one. You then attempt to lift the door. A light noise was made but you separated the door with the ground.
You let out a sigh of relief seeing the sunlight beam through the crack lighting the room a bit. Carefully you attempt to open it a little more. The sound was louder and you were sure someone would've heard it. The footsteps you heard outside of the door confirmed your theory. Quickly with all your strength you pull up the door. It made a loud screechy noise but thankfully you could now escape. Suddenly the door opens and you make eye contact with William. He charged towards you and you quickly dropped down to crawl out.
Just when your legs were almost out of the garage you felt hands wrap around your ankles and pull you back. You screamed and began kicking.

"You we're much easier when you were sleeping." William complained. He pulled you to your feet and pushed you away from the Garage door. He then closed it and turned to you. You limped to one of the shelves and grabbed a hammer. It was small but it worked. He just stood there with his arms crossed as you trembled before him the hammer held out in front of you.
"Don't come any closer." You demanded but he simply walked towards you. This scared you and you gripped the hammer harder and swing at him. He grabs your wrists and squeezes hard hurting them. He rips the hammer from your grasp and threw it to the ground. You let out a breath of defeat and began shaking violently.
"Calm down you should be lucky you aren't dead right now." He said and pulled your hands together. He grabbed a rope nearby and tied them.
"There so I don't have to worry about you trying to kill me." He muttered and led you out of the garage. His words from before confused you.
Why didn't he kill you?

You shook your thoughts away deeming them not important right now. You looked to your wrists which were now tied together. You rubbed them together attempting to loosen the rope which kinda worked. William wasn't paying attention. He led you into the house and onto the couch
He forced you to take a seat and sighed.
"Kid, what you saw is something you shouldn't have, but you are very lucky. There's something.. stopping me from killing you. I cant figure out what that is.. you've been asleep for 3 days. I've been taking care of you since then. I told Michael you were sick and that you had nowhere else to go, he doesn't know that Clara is dead. I told him she was missing. As for you, when Micheal is around you will pretend as if everything is fine. If you pull something funny I will kill you."
"What makes me believe that? You obviously can't right now."
"Just because I can't doesn't mean I won't." He said and pulled out a pocket knife from his pocket. He flips it open revealing the blade which shined in the lighting the sharp edge making your heart race.
"Okay I got it!" You said your hands beginning to tremble again.

"Good-" he said and flipped the blade back into safety mode before putting it back in his pocket.
"I kind of need your help anyways, I don't necessarily have great parenting skills and well I've seen how you take care of your brother so I feel you'd be a good help when it comes to Michael. I need your help to raise him. I cant be a stay at home father when I have to work like I do so you helping out will grant you.. privileges."

"Privileges?"
"To be able to even leave that Garage is a privilege. If you fuck up you will be locked in there for a week-" he threatened. You nodded quickly showing you understood. He smiled.
"Good. Now I have to go pick up Michael from school, don't even try to leave the house will be locked completely by the time I leave. I ask that you take some of Clara's clothes and shower. I took the decency of not invading your privacy so I did not bathe you while you were unconscious."
Well that's kinda sweet-
"Okay.." you nodded.
"If I see you've tried to escape I will punish you." He explained. You nodded.
"Don't try to call anyone all the phone Cord's are cut, don't try to scream and shout because the house is soundproof-"
Damn he really thought this through.
You nodded again.
"Okay okay- I got it."
"Good, now I'll be on my way." He explained. He walked upstairs for a minute then walked downstairs. He locked all the windows and you assumed him going in the garage was him locking that too.
You sighed and looked to the ropes.
"I can't really shower if My wrists are tied!"
"Don't push it." He sighed as he walked up to you and cut the ropes. You grabbed your wrist and moved them around enjoying the feeling of them being free.
"I'll be back." He said and left through the front door a briefcase in his hand. Once you heard the door lock you walked up to the window lightly moving the curtain peaking out. You watched as he drove off. You quickly ran around the house searching for any sort of chance to get out. You basically searched everywhere and there wasn't anything that could really help. He really thought this through. You attempt to open the garage door but failed miserably. You sighed and leaned against the door in defeat.
"Fuck man."
You sighed and walked up to one of the windows.
This isn't the best idea
You punched the glass. It didn't break but instead you hurt your hand. You pulled your hand away wincing in pain.
"Fuck!" You shouted. You tried again but only failed.
You looked to your hand which now had bruised knuckles. What the Fuck? We're the windows that strong? You sighed and decided to go and shower. You walked into Williams room and saw an outfit laid out on the bed. It was a purple shirt and black skirt with some knee high socks and necklace. The necklace was kind of ugly in your option so you pushed it away and took the outfit. You walked into the bathroom and undressed getting into the shower.

You felt the warm water drip down your body. You closed your eyes enjoying the moment of relaxation. Not really wanting to waste water you began cleaning yourself. You took your time though. Finally when you finished up you dried yourself off with a towel and got changed. You stared at yourself in the outfit. It didn't look half bad on you.
You shrugged and put your dirty clothes in the laundry room downstairs. You then realize how messy the house was. It could use a clean. You semi-cleaned the living room. You picked up the cans of soda and beer. Finally you sat in the couch and messed around with the TV. You come across something Interesting and watch it till William had Michael return home.
