An estimated 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted globally each year. That's two trillion eight hundred sixty-six billion nine million four hundred eight thousand four hundred and three (2,866,009,408,403) pounds! The amount of food lost or wasted costs $2.6 trillion U.S dollars annually and is more than enough to feed all the 815 million hungry people in the world 41.3 billion times over! That's sad. Really, really sad.....DON'T WASTE YOUR FOOD!
