She couldn't believe what she was seeing. She felt too shocked to see her there that she thought it might be a little ghost, because why would a real person be here? If she was a real person she sure needed an explaination from Kevin.
She hesitated for a moment then moved forward and removed the tape from her mouth. Camille started bawling and immediately grabbed her arms pressing her face to her chest,

"Where were you, Mom, I was so scared." She sobbed hugging her, she didn't realize who it was at that time because of fear she had stayed in. She was hallucinating her mother's image instead of Diana.
Her soft hands around her waist and those painful sobs melted her heart and she hugged her back patting on her back to calm her down.
'how can someone lock a little girl like this-' her thought interrupted by another thought, 'Kevin?' she didn't want to believe it was him but all she could think of was him.

Kevin and Diana had been dating for 3 years without the knowledge of Camille's mother and even got married the day he killed his previous wife. Diana didn't know anything about it and she felt thrown aback when she assumed Camille to be Kevin's daughter. It wasn't just an assumption but the resemblance was also a proof.
She carried her down and gave her water to drink. Camille gulped the water and layed herself on the bed because she felt too weak to keep sitting. When Diana came back with a bowl of porridge she had fallen asleep. So she put it aside and let her sleep in peace. When she woke up she went outside and saw her father and Diana standing face to face. She ran towards Kevin and hugged him,

"Dad!!" She cried happily then looking at Diana she asked, "But dad, who is she? Where's my mommy?"

Kevin bent down and held her near him grabbing her shoulders,

"She is your mom, Camille."

"No it's not-"

"She is, she cut her hair short but she is, look at her carefully." He spoke staring with his wide open eyes into her eyes, with a scary grin on his face.
Camille turned to look at her and a while later she ran to her and laughed,

"Mom!! It's really mom." She rejoiced, "did you take good rest?"

Kevin gave Diana a signal stare and she understood it,

"Yes dear." She said to Camille, "would you like something to eat? You must be hungry."

"Yes!! Chocolate cereal."

"Alright, I'll give you that."

"Yea!!" She ran into the kitchen with Diana behind her.

Diana glared at Kevin before going in and said,
"We have a lot to talk about right?"

Kevin didn't show any reaction, after she disappeared in the kitchen his face expression showed anger and displeasment. 'how did she find the attic room, just how?' he clenched his teeth regretting not being able to kill Camille back then when he had killed his wife. He couldn't kill his own daughter because he loved her, but he didn't want Diana to hate him either and leave him alone.

"Is it tasty?" Diana asked Camille who sat beside her shoving a spoon full of cereal into her mouth.

"Very much." She spoke munching on the food in her mouth. After few more spoons, Camille looked at Diana and asked,

"Why did you cut your hair?"

"Doesn't it look good?"

"It does." She smiled, "should I cut my hair too?"

"No, you look pretty with long hair."

"Really?" She blushed.

"Hmm really." Diana patted her hair and got up, "Stay here, I'll come back."

She went outside and stopped in front of Kevin who was sitting on the couch. She folded her arms and stared at him,

"I need explanation. Did you have a wife before me Kevin?" She spoke waiting for a response, but he only sat there scratching his nails. Diana took a deep breath and sat beside him.

"Look Kevin...I wouldn't have gotten mad at you even if you told me you already had a daughter with another woman. But doing that to your own daughter.."

"I was cruel...I know, I'm ashamed." His face showed that he was deeply sorry about it but who knows if it was just an act or he really was feeling guilty.

"It's ok Kevin...but I'm going to raise her." Kevin looked at her in surprise, "I'm going to raise Camille...she's your daughter after all." She added and smiled warmly.

Kevin didn't show clear expressions but he definitely wasn't happy with that. There was no particular reason as to why he was upset but that uneasy feeling created haterd in his heart for Camille.

Last night when Kevin crept out of bed, he had went up to the attic room where Camille was sobbing. He had taken a tape and unlocked the door, moving Camille's attention to him.

"Dad?" She had spoken with her cracked voice. It was too dark to see who it was. The silence made her frightened. She cried out once again,
"Is it you, Dad?"

But before she could speak for the third time, Kevin pressed the tape over her mouth. She struggled hurting him with her small finger nails leaving scratches on his hands.
He went close to her ear and whispered in a scary tone,

"Shhh, stay still sweetie. I won't hurt you. Just go to sleep, I'll come back tomorrow."

It had sent shivers down her spine and she had become motionless. After she had stopped moving, Kevin had walked outside locking the door and dropping the keys down there.

"I'm sorry but...you will have to die here by yourself." He had said before going downstairs
