The Miraculous Three: Vol. 2

2.1 - The Collector

3rd Person POV:

"Master? Are you okay?" Wayzz asks his meditating holder.

"She's here." Master Fu opens his eyes, counting the seconds until a knock on his door will arrive.

And just as he predicted, a gentle knock sounds  through the room and the door opens.

"Hello, Ladybug." Master Fu greets the nervous girl.

"I know you never wanted me to bring her here again, but you must see what she discovered!" Tikki urgently tells Master Fu, gesturing to the book that Marinette held close to her. "Show him, Marinette!"

"I've been here?" Marinette realizes, "I've met you before! You're the healer that healed Tikki when she was sick! So... I'm guessing your not really a vet?"

"Not really. It was your first day of school, that wasn't a chance meeting either." Master Fu tells the girl. "Marinette, your always ready to help others. I knew that day and very moment that you'd make a fantastic Ladybug."

"But.. who are you?" Marinette questions.

Master Fu stands and waddles over to a phonograph, pressing a complex series of buttons and allowing the trinket to do its work. A large box with a familiar symbol rises out of the phonograph catching Marinette's attention.

"Master Fu is the last known member of the Order of the Guardians." Tikki explains.

"Guardians of the Miraculous." Wayzz appears from his hiding spot, "I'm Wayzz, Master Fu's kwami! It's a pleasure to meet you, Marinette!"

"You too!" Marinette awkwardly smiles.

"We Guardians are responsible for protecting and distributing the miraculous. For the good of humanity, we are chosen in childhood and trained for many years, especially for this mission. When we were much, much younger, we... I... made a mistake. The Guardian's Temple was destroyed. All because of me. Two of the miraculous were lost that day: the butterfly and the peacock." Master Fu explains, with hints of sorrow once he told his story. "Also gone forever was ancient spellbook.

"But.. all this has are drawings of old superheroes?" Marinette opens the book she held, "And a bunch of strange symbols."

"Not strange to a Guardian." Master Fu smiles and holds his hands out for the book. "Back the days, I wasn't given the opportunity to have a look at it, but I've been taught enough to read and partially decipher the code."

Marinette looks at Tikki who nods her head. Marinette nods her head back and gives Masyer Fu the book.

"These pages contain various spells, capable of giving Ladybug, Chat Noir, and Phoenix special abilities we haven't discovered... until now. This book is invaluable!" Master Fu explains.

Marinette listens as he explains, surprised by all the knowledge she was acquiring.

Natalie was scrolling through her tablet, showing Gabriel the pictures of Adrien going through his safe. The book he was searching for, now in his son's hands.

"Why did you take the book?" Gabriel demands an answer.

"I-I just wanted to know what you were hiding that was so important." Adrien answers, his heart beating in his chest with anxiety. "You.. never told me about those things! I was intending to give it back to you, I swear! But then.. I lost it.."
