Naruto's Pov
We are on our way to the store. Sakura sended Kakashi a list of things to buy, a pretty long one. We just spent the time in the car talking about summer and what we were going to do. It was barely January but we still talked about it as if it was about to come.
He kept telling me how he wanted to adopt a cat. He told me how he used to have a cat named Suki but it died because of a car. I felt warm and calmed every time he talked. I like this, I like listening to his stories.
We finally arrived at the market. Kakashi gets down, goes around the car and opens my door smiling at me. I get out of the car facing the floor. I was probably blushing.
*Whispering* "Thank you."
"Don't worry little guy"
I blushed even harder. "U-"
"Shhh" He grabs my hand and we both start walking.
I still wasn't able to stop facing the floor. I could hear my own heart beat going so fast and deep. I like this but still... It's too much for me to handle! I can even feel other people near us staring. I took a look at Kakashi. He looks so calm and peaceful... like he doesn't care at all.
He turns to look at me, smiles at me, and goes back to looking forward.
That's when I started feeling peaceful and safe next to him. I smile and start looking forward as well.
Gaara's pov
I'm on the train on my way to Konoha. My sister just told me that her boyfriend is a friend of Naruto. We might meet tonight. I keep sending him messages but he won't respond. Maybe he's occupied.
"Hey Gaara! We are arriving!" Temari said.
"Oh great!" I turn to look at the window.
"It's really pretty! Too bad Kankuro didn't come."
"It's fine he has come before with dad."
I kept looking at the window wondering what Naruto may be doing right now.
