The morning air was crisp and cold in your lungs, the heat from your breath turned to fog as you walked up to the diner to meet Dabi. You yawned as you approached him off to the side of the diner. He was leaned up against the alley entrance wall, the morning dew still visible.

"You look like shit." Dabi says as he glances over your exhausted form. "Not sleep well or something? 'Cause
you look like you had a friend over; someone called Jack Daniel."

He wasn't entirely wrong. You hadn't slept well due to the nightmares that plagued you, and coming home soaking wet hadn't improved your mood any.

Tears formed in your eyes as another yawn escaped your lips. "Shut up you crispy motherfucker. So, what's the mission anyway? Or are we just here to freeze?" your voice is dripping with annoyance. It was his fault you were up this early.

Your coat clung to your lean yet thinner frame as you both walked into  the diner and sat down at a booth off in the corner. You sat with your back towards the door, while dabi faced the door carefully, watching everyone that came in. You pushed your hood off and onto your shoulders as you rested your head on to the palm of your hand, waiting for the food to arrive.

"So what the hell are we doing here? Are we just here for the food?" you spoke in a snarky tone; you didn't see why y'all were there.

Dabi's eyes scanned the dining area as a family had walked in, making their way to a booth near yours. "We're here to get information. Apparently a group of villains that frequent this place want to destroy the L.O.V., but we don't know how or when." he was quiet when telling you. If it wasn't for your heightened hearing, you might have missed what he said. You nodded and waited for your food,  catching the fresh smell of sausage and eggs.

~time skip 10mins~

You and Dabi both ate your food while you waited for the group to show. You had ordered smoked sausage, hashbrowns, and eggs, while Dabi sat and ate a plate of eggs and bacon.

'Simple, yet has taste. I can respect that'.

The doors to the diner chimed as your targets finally walked in. Dabi looked towards the window in order not to be recognized as the men sat on the far side of the diner. You hear Dabi curse under his breath that he can't hear them. You roll your eyes and focus in on what they're saying.

"Man, why can't we just take out that lame ass group? They might be strong, but we have more people on our side." one man says in a irritated tone.

"You know we have to wait until it's time, dipshit, if we go in now they will decimate us." a calmer man spoke in a hushed voice, like he didn't want anyone to hear him.

"I know, I know. I just don't see why we have to wait until some stupid meeting to take them down."

You snap back to Dabi and grin proudly, "They believe they can destroy the L.O.V. group with sheer numbers. They're waiting for some kind of meeting between you and their leader before they strike, in hopes it catches you off guard."Dabi looks at you, completely impressed by your skill. "All my senses are enhanced, so it's a piece of cake to hear them from here. Not bragging or anything, but I'm more than a pretty face." your grin only grows bigger as you show off only a taste of your skills.

"Nice job, Ghost. I'll definitely say you're more than that pretty face you show. Can't wait to see more of what you can do." his praise sparks something deep within you, and you don't notice your hand tighten around your coat edge from under the table.

After a while you both left, Dabi saying he would take you to the base. Y'all had to walk there, so the long, awkward, quiet walk began. You were happy it had warmed up a bit since that cold morning air.
