Your eyes slowly opened to see Dabi passed out in one of your bean bags. Your mind is foggy as you try to remember how you made it back, let alone back in your room. You giggle at Dabi, who seems so peaceful, but quickly stop as pain floods your body. Dabi hears you groan in pain and slowly wakes up before moving over to your bedside.
"Easy, Ghost. You were in bad shape when you got back." Dabi glanced over you to make sure you didn't try anything. You nod and adjust yourself so that you're somewhat sitting up; laying down hurt a bit.
"How long was I out for? And exactly how bad is it?" your voice is full of exhaustion, and you couldn't move much, feeling too tired, along with the large amount of pain you were in.
"Two days give or take. Your body was littered with cuts. Some were deep, some were small. The worst was on you ribcage, left side. Twice helped me stitch you up, but we respected you and had Toga do any that might have made you uncomfortable. I did have to do your ribcage, but only 'cause Toga sucks at doing deep ones. Oh! Your back is pretty bruised, I wouldn't try sitting up too much for a while." Dabi's voice is filled with relief at the fact of you finally being awake. You smile at being able to see him again; the thoughts of seeing him were what kept you going.
Your smile quickly fades as images of what happened with both men flashed. The pain and fear of the past few days filled your mind.
Dabi is quick to notice your pain as tears begin to run down your face.
"Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong? Ghost, what happened?" Dabi is quick to stand and cups your face in his hands. The pain that dwells deep in you suddenly becomes too much for you to keep down any longer, and you began to sob uncontrollably. Dabi is quick to slide into bed next to you as he helps you roll and face him. He holds your head into the nook of his neck. He's careful when he begins to rub the small of your back.
"It's gonna be okay, Ghost, I promise. Whoever hurt you will never touch you again. I won't let them." he repeats 'it's gonna be okay' several times, and after a while your sobs slow and turn into sniffles. You still refuse to move as his smoky cinnamon scent fills your mind and makes you feel safe as you're snuggled up against his body.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Your body begins to relax as his sweet scent forces your muscles to slacken, and you allowed your legs to intertwine with his. Your chest and body lean in against his as you try to calm the pain, even if it's only a little.
"Do you promise it stays between you and me?" your voice trembles with both pain and anxiety of his reaction. You hadn't told anyone about the man before, so telling him about Henry was just as scary, if not worse.
"Ghost, I would never betray your trust. I can tell its something big so if you want to tell me then I'm here, but don't force yourself." his arms tighten around your body as you began to shake. Your mind races as you contemplate weather or not to tell him.
"He tried to take advantage of me," you paused, letting Dabi soak in the information as he kept quiet, waiting to see if you'd continue, "I didn't know what to do and...Iwas so afraid, Dabi. I-" your voice cracked as you began the cry again. The smell of Henry's cologne was still burned into your mind. Dabi was quiet at first as he rubbed your back.
"I'm so sorry, Ghost. No one deserves to have that to happen to them. You're safe now. I can't even imagine how scared you must've been, but...it's okay now, I'm right here and I'm not going to let anyone touch you."
Dabi POV (1st person)
I watched as you slowly drifted off to sleep, the exhaustion from everything finally taking over. Your body relaxed with mine, and your breathing steadied. Hearing you say that someone tried to take advantage of you infuriated me.
