Abandoned (Dabi x reader)

Stalker

your tears eventually stopped once the med's kicked in, dabi didn't let go of you as you tried to make sense of every thing that had happened. "Any better?" he was concerned for you it was plain as day. the warmth of his body against yours helped ease your nerves, "yeah sorry if I scared you....honestly it scared me too" your voice was shaky and quiet as you spoke it broke his heart to hear you sound like that.

"its okay firefly, what happened?" he loosened his grip on you so you could look him in the eyes. his azure eyes burned like his flames but when they looked at you they were gentle and sweet, you loved looking into them seeing the worry he felt towards you, knowing you had someone that was constantly concerned for your well being warmed your heart in a way you hadn't felt in a long time.

"I had a dream....more like a connection with something inside me like I do with riger and harbinger but I don't know him.....he says we used to play when I was younger but I can't remember and it hurts when I try to......he was forcing me to remember that's why I screamed.....dabi I'm scared but he wasn't lying I can feel it" you looked to dabi for answers but you knew deep down he didn't have them.

"I'm sorry firefly I wish I could help.....wait when we were attacked at the restaurant by the mercenary a creature appeared and defeated him so we could get away..it said something it said you just needed to rest" he told you all about the creature and you told about the dream suddenly a name came to mind. "Death stalker" he looked at you confused as you kind just blurted it out. "It said I used to call him ghost but that the name suited me better and that it needed a new name....Death stalker" you were confused how the name came to mind you felt like you had heard it before but you couldn't tell where you heard it.

Dabi had deiced you would think about it more tomorrow since you were in pretty bad shape he didn't want to keep you up.  You couldn't sleep so you deiced to talk to the other dogs which would allowed your body to rest but not your mind. 'sorry dabi' you closed you eyes and got comfortable laying against the warmth of his body did make you tired but you needed to talk to riger and harbinger.

~Dream~(r=riger, h=harbinger, nothing =you)

"riger...harbinger are you there?"

"we are always here (y/n)" - r

"Do ya'll recognize the name death stalker?" 

"Doesn't sound familiar" -r

"Riger don't you remember before they killed us the old one down the hall. he hated them and swore to kill them all, he was the only one to give us a will to fight" -h

"Barely how on earth did you remember harbinger" -r 

"So you used to know him?"

"No, we used to listen but back then we didn't talk much. after riger got there stalker wasn't around much longer. One day he stopped talking and this horrendous smell filled the compound" -h

"I remember that smell, and how the workers kept complaining about how they refused to clean it up" -r 

"Clean what up?" 

"That's the thing we don't know how or what happened other than he died in the caged and they left his body there to rot" -h

"They left it for weeks, no one could breath because of it" -r

"That's horrible but if that happened long before I was ever there then how do I know the name?" 

"I don't know (y/n), they had removed all signs of stalker long before you came and we never mentioned him to you......aren't you supposed to be asleep?" -h

"You need your sleep (y/n)" -r

"I know guys its just hard for me to sleep right now so I figured I'd try and get answers"

" I don't feel like getting yelled at by your man soooooooo good night (y/n)" -r

"No wait guys come on"

"No (y/n), you need your sleep and last time dabi chewed us out he didn't talk to use for weeks so no goodnight (y/n)" -h

"Oh come on guys.......what you mean my man were not together technically" 

"(y/n) you confessed you love for each other you might as well be dating" -h

"just make it official because you basically are" -r

"GUYS!!!!!"

you opened your eyes as your cheeks turned red at the idea. 'Dating I've never had that before, aidan and i never really dated we kinda just were friends with benefits I guess, I don't even know how to feel about it'

"You still awake baby?" His voice was quiet but ruff from waking up to your movement. You tilted your head up to his face "Yeah sorry I couldn't sleep much I've got alot on my mind is all.. I'll be okay dabi get some sleep". His hands caressed your body as he pulled you in closer to him.

You turned and buried your head into his chestas he held you in his arms. "I might not be able to answer your questions love but just know I'm here for you and I refuse to be anywhere else but at your side. So please try and get some rest as well firefly".

He's words were like liquid honey to your ears. You've never felt so loved and cared for Aidan could never hold a candle to dabi and honestly you liked the idea of being his girl.

"Um dabi....?" You were nervous and it showed heavily. "Yeah" he was exhausted but you couldn't wait to ask. "Um if....I said hypothetically that I uh..... wanted to be your girl and be at your side as well.....um.... what would you say?" You couldn't look him in the eyes and only buried yourself into his chest more.

He was quiet for a bit before letting out a small chuckle. "Well let's say hypothetically you did ask, I hypothetically speaking would say I'd love for you to be mine and that I trust no one else to stand at my side" he looked down at you with a small and gentle smile.

He pressed his lips against you forehead. "Would you like to be mine firefly?". You peaked up wards to be met with those so brilliantly bright azure flames. "Yes I do want that" your eyes burned with happiness and a spark dabi had never seen, he wanted to capture that look in your eyes forever....but the good in life can only last for so long before to ugly rears its head.
