Alexandra's POV:

I cannot believe I have to share a whole house with the person I dislike. And the most surprising thing is my parents didn't even bother letting me know.

And the most excellent thing- I had to stay in the Malfoy manor for the night. The Malfoys insisted on staying the night since Malfoy  and I had to give a visit to the new house, the next day.

I was now in Draco's room, sitting on the carolina blue sofa. I was nervously chewing my bottom lip. The door swung open, abruptly.

My eyes made their way to the door and it finally landed on Malfoy. Our eyes met, "the dinner is ready." He mumbled, loud enough so that I could hear and with that, he walked away.

I stood straight after getting up from the sofa and exited his room, making the door shut. I went down, making my way towards the dining table.

"Oh Alexandra dear, sit," Lucius said as he pointed his finger out- indicating me to sit beside his son.

I nodded at this words and made my way to sit beside Draco.

At dinner nothing special happened, it was just Narcissa and Lucius asking me questions. And, there was me- wanting dinner to get over soon.

Atlas, the dinner ended and I was dancing on the inside. "Son, show her the guest room," Lucius ordered.

Malfoy nodded a yes and lead me to the guest room.

He let the guest room door open and wow.

It was definitely one of the best rooms I've ever seen. I never expected the guest room to that elegant.

The room was black-themed. It had a queen-sized bed in the top- centre. The walls had potraits and they looked expensive. And a delightful chandelier, in the centre of the ceiling.

"So... here it is." Draco started, "if you need anything, don't hesitate asking."

I nodded a yes. "Malfoy," I called him out as he was about to leave the room.

"Yes?" He responded.

"Sorry."

"Why?" He asked looking perplexed.

"The marriage and house," I nervously replied.

"Wait, did you know about it before?"

"What? No!" I defended myself.

He scoffed. "Silly one you are, you don't have to be sorry for the things you didn't have any idea about. It's not like we've had a choice," he sighed and looked down. "Can I ask you one thing?" He questioned.

I nodded. "You have a mouth to speak, you know?" He mocked as he rolled his eyes.

"Yes."

"Better." He smirked. "I know we didn't have the best relation in school although, he had the same friends" he trailed off, "I was wondering if we could be friends and then do something which would make our parents call off our wedding?"

"You want us to be friends?" I asked with a tint of unbelievableness in my voice.

"Indeed. We both hate each other right? And you think marriage is going to work for us? Of course not. It's better this way," he mumbled as he fiddled with his silver ring.

I let my hand out, indicating him to shake hands with me. He looked up and his eyes met mine; silver meeting bronze. We shaked hands.

I was in the great hall sitting beside Pansy and Daphne in the slytherin row. It was just two days since we stepped into Hogwarts and we were liking every part of it so far.
