Cedric's POV:

Disappointed? Maybe.

I didn't know what the future had for Alexandra and me. I did not know if we were actually meant for each other. I was well aware that she loved me, but was it of any use?

I wasn't sure if we had a future together. Washington Lockwood, her father, had been controlling her life from the day she was born.

We both had dreams- to be with each other even if he graduated Hogwarts and we did. We graduated and we were quite happy until, this happened.

All I can do is, spend time with her, cherish every moment we spend before something worse could take place. I couldn't imagine myself without her.

I had a bad feeling ever since she told me about it. It's like, something was trying to tear us apart.

She was lying beside me, her hand around my body. Merlin, she was so beautiful. I caressed her back slowly while I hummed. Soon, her eyes fluttured open and she gave a lazy smile and yawned. "Good morning," she cooed in her soft morning voice.

"Are you still tired?" I asked.

"No." She took a pause. "I just don't want to get up."

"Let's get up. I'm sure it's late."

She nodded in response. I got up from the bed and while I was walking, Alexandra called out for me, "are you leaving me?"

"Dummy, I'm just going for a shower," I replied with a chuckle.

"Oh, I see," she replied.

"Want to join?" I asked her as I let the bathroom's door open.

"Well.. um" she took a pause and kept thinking, "you know what? no. Maybe some other time, Ced. I'm just not in the mood." She hesitantly added.

"It's fine, don't worry," I grinned at her.

Something about her is off. I could feel it, but I didn't force her to tell me. I wanted to give her time and space as I already knew she's going through a lot.

After I had taken a shower, I got dressed and the moment I entered into my bedroom I saw a surprised Alexandra reading a letter.

"Fuck."

"Is everything okay?" I asked as I went closer.

"No, my dad got to know that I am at your muggle house" she said through the tears.

I'll fucking kill Washington Lockwood. Fucking bastard.

"No no, sweetheart don't cry. Please don't cry." I climbed on the bed and went to her and hugged her as tight as possible. "We'll do something about it, don't worry." After those words, I kissed the top of her head.

"I think I'll have to leave," she uttered. She pulled away. I saw her teary eyes and wiped the tears off.

"Nothing's going to happen." I promised. "We'll get married one day, just like we promised when we were sixteen."

"Indeed."

"Now go, I love you so much." I kissed her on the lips. For some reason it felt like our last kiss.

ALEXANDRA'S POV:

The moment I entered the Lockwood Manor, I heard a shout which belonged to my father. "You fucking blood-traitor" then all I can remember is that he slapped me hard right across my cheek.

My mother gasped in shock. "Washington, no."

"Shut your mouth Rosalind, will you?" my father demanded.

"Now, listen you filth Alexandra. You do realise that no one gets to lie when it comes to dating blood-traitors and that day I made it very clear that I am the one who gets to make your life decisions for your own good. But you being the filth that you are, you disappointed me, yet again. The other day, you told me you are at the Parkinson's Manor but you think I'm that naive to believe your lies? You were at a muggle café with that Digorry boy and you just came back from his muggle house, didn't you?" he angrily shouted.

This was the first time I saw my father getting this mad. Never in my life anyone has ever put a finger on my face like that- the first time, someone ever slapped me.

"Alexandra, let me be very clear. You got enough of warnings and enough of chances. Now, it's just too much. You are marrying Draco Malfoy next month just because of your behaviour. Now get your filthy face away from me and leave, you disappointment. By leave, I mean- to your new mansion with Draco Malfoy."

At this point, I no longer had tears. I didn't want to cry. I knew this was coming and I had to marry Malfoy.

I have to let Cedric go. Cedric Diggory.

With that, I apparated to the new mansion. The moment I apparated, I saw Malfoy sitting idle with a depressed face. His eyes immediately met one.

"Lockwood? Long time, no see." He uttered in a very low voice. "All...good?" He asked in confusion.

"No- yes. All good." I lied.

"You know that you're a bad liar, don't you?" he mocked. "What happened?"

"A lot." I told the truth.

"I see. What exactly? Why are you standing, huh? Come sit down."

I did what he told. "I don't think I can tell you, yet. Maybe one day, but not today," I honestly replied.

"Totally understandable."

"And.. what's happened to you?"

He laughed and said, "I want to tell you but not now. It's not the correct time, not yet."

I sighed. "I'm going to my room."

"No- wait. What is it? The thing on your cheek. Is that a-fuck. What is it?" he angrily asked.

"It's nothing."

"Shut the fuck up, Lockwood. Tell me who slapped you?" he ordered.

I gulped, "my father." I had no other option but tell the truth.

His face immediately dropped. "Wait here, I'll be back."

After a minute or two, I saw Draco holding a plate and a glass. "What is it?" I asked him.

"Eat. Have you seen yourself lately? No offence, but you look ill and have you been sleeping properly?"

He was right, my life had gotten absolutely fucked up. Everything was so messed up.

"Now, eat."

"Have you eaten?" I slowly asked.

"That is not nece-"

"It's not fair if only one of us eats." By that I shoved a piece of apple into his mouth.

"Hey, it was for you." He argued.

"I don't care, we both share it now."
