Sow's POV

And that's how we end up here.

Archer huffs madly, "I'm not speaking to you..."

"Archer I'm sorry, I didn't do it to upset you but he's AN ADULT AND among that YOUR MENTOR, TEACHER THING, and I ain't letting you lose your virginity to this old fart!" Canyon exclaims. "You won't let him lose his virginity to anyone period, you mean," I gently add on while leaning on the wall. "SOW, YOU'RE THE OLDEST ONE, YOU SHOULD BE THE MOST PROTECTIVE HERE! THIS IS WHY I'M DOING YOUR JOB!" Canyon screams. I shake my head at his dramatic display.

We're currently all in a decent size hospital room, Archer next to the bed where Mr. Basely is, Canyon pleading for forgiveness next to Archer, and me leaning on the wall finding this whole situation just as weird as I first found it to begin with. What has become my life? Canyon is still being super freaky about the whole "daddy" joke, which is why I'm not taking it seriously.

I bring out my phone deciding to let mom and dad know why their children are missing this late afternoon. We should be going home soon...if I can get Archer to leave. I mean if push comes to shove, I know mom and dad would be kinda okay with letting us stay here overnight or they'd come and join us honestly. I know dad would for sure. But we do have school tomorrow...all of us. Well, maybe not Mr. Basely if he's injured enough to stay here.

"Mom, Dad, we're currently in the hospital but no need to get alarmed. None of us are harmed but Canyon nearly killed Archer's substitute teacher and Archer refuses to leave until he knows he's okay so we'll be home late probably."

Canyon's stomach growls. Archer glares at him. "Oh come on, don't give me that just for being hungry! I haven't eaten since lunch." Archer rolls his eyes, "Neither have I, but I don't care." Canyon frowns at that. "You don't even eat--" "SHUT up," Archer replies. Canyon sighs, giving up.

"Oh dear, I hope his sub will be okay! What has gotten into Canyon to be so savage? I'm surprised it's so bad you guys needed to go to the hospital!" Mom replies worriedly.

"Is Canyon okay?" Dad asks.

"Dad... That's not who you should be asking about," I sigh out.

"Well yes but, he didn't hurt his hands while beating him up did he? Check his hands."

"DAD."

"Honey, I'm sure Canyon is okay if he was the one beating up Archer's sub. Right, Sow?" Mom interjects.

"Yes, he's okay. He was so mad, his adrenaline was the only thing keeping him going and he's complaining about being hungry now, so I'm sure his hands are fine."

"You should get him some food there then. No need to worry about dinner since we don't know when you'll be back. Eat there," Dad says, seeming to miss the whole point.

"...Dad, I love you and I know you only think about us, but I think you're slightly missing the part of being concerned for the one who's in the hospital bed now," I reply, facepalming myself.

"Oh right--no I hope he's okay too! But He seemed to have done something to get Canyon mad? Maybe he deser--"

"DAD! You're the one who said no matter what, violence is never the answer. Stick to your words, sheesh!" I interrupt. What the heck.

"Sow has a point, dear." Mom agrees.

"Anyway, just letting you know, I can explain the situation later," I say, moving on.

Mom makes a noise. "Alright baby, thank you for letting us know. Be careful and take care of your siblings too." I smile. "I will don't worry. I love you two. I'll see you later," I reply. "Tell the other two I love them and stay safe okay?" Dad asks. "You know I will, dad. Bye-bye," I say before hanging up.
