3rd POV
...
Everyone groans as they come to. Everything had blanked out after the door slammed open in the other realm.
"SOW!" Azerelf screams, trying to shoot his body upright but realizes someone is on him...
Sow groans. He moves his head up and right there--his nose touches with Azerelf's.
"WE DID IT!" Archer and Canyon scream at the same time while helping each other get up.
Crescent lets out a relieved sigh. He was unsure if they had gotten Sow or if that shadow monster did first. "I thought we lost for a second, not that we could tell at that instance. It's strange that we blacked out on this side as well though," he says while getting up.
Everyone hugs Sow once they have oriented themselves. And they realize the blackout had reset their secondary selves, except for Crescent, back into their headspaces.
Crescent moves away in order to check that the portal is gone and nothing weird has come through or still opened around the mirror and the restroom itself.
Once everything seems okay, the whole group decides to leave the restroom and go back to the hospital room. They should really go somewhere else since this place is filled with unknown dangers lurking in the shadows.
When they're situated in the room, they all look at Crescent for answers.
He puts up his hands, "Okay, okay, I know. Tons of explaining and re-explaining to do. Ugh, I don't wanna--" "Not the time to be lazy now after ALL THAT?!!" Azerelf exclaims.
Crescent lets out a deep sigh, "Alright, well here I go. Keep your minds open though." Everyone nods. He breathes out once he gets his thoughts together.
"I'll just start from the beginning for the few who don't even know what I am. Because that pieces everything else together. This universe ain't normal as you can guess by now. One day y'all were living normal lives and then suddenly you have these more...uncontrollable voices appearing more and more to you. You think it's yourself but you start to see how these voices don't cater to your personality or even bitch back at you. Yeah, you'd think it's your negative side speaking to yourself. In fact, it isn't. That's what I am~" he points to himself.
"Hello, I'm Crescent, Canyon's secondary self. He is not a vessel that is hosting a demon, no. I am an existence that can think, do, and lead itself. I am the only one here who can separate from my companion because of our bond and understanding. Canyon took his time to research this when he found out. He took the time to learn and understand me, which in turn allowed him access to deepen our bond and the strength we hold with each other. And also allows him to see things like what our secondary selves could see in that mirror today," Crescent stops, allowing the introductory information to sink in.
"Secondary selves/genders...well, we are a phenomenon honestly. We are connected to that dark realm that we saved Sow from. Some of you couldn't see it at all and some of you did through your secondary counterparts fronting. Now I'm not an expert, I do not know where we came from, born/created any of that shit. In fact, I didn't know a dark realm even existed until today. When I was faced with that, it was like something unlocked in me and I just knew what the fuck to do. I can't explain it. I don't know what those monsters were or what they wanted with Sow. But it seems they're after him. I don't think he's out of the woods either. They have obviously marked him way before this. And it seems they attack him through his mind, vulnerable, sleep-like state, etc. He doesn't even know when it happens until things get weird. Okay, my explanation is everywhere, I swear to god," Crescent groans, rubbing his head.
