It's been a long week in the hospital, but I'm finally getting to leave. The nurse taught Dad, Addison, Grayson and I how to wrap my leg and arm, so they're letting me leave. Which is great because I hate hospitals.

They gave me crutches to walk on. The only rule to using them was I couldn't walk on them unless someone was there to watch me, but i'm not going to have someone walk around with me, i'm not five. I was sitting on the bed while Addison packed my bag. She insisted that she did it so I wouldn't fall or anything, which was quiet nice of her. She's turned out to be really great, Down to earth and all around a nice person. She's helping dad get out of this "Rut" he's been in for so long.

"Okay, everything seems to be in here, I got your phone charger, your laptop and it's charger. All of your clothes. You ready?" she looked at me and put my bag around her shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm so ready to get home and lay in my own bed, honestly." I grabbed my crutches and slowly stood up. She grabbed my arm and helped me get my balance

"I'm sure, when my ex-husband was in the hospital he would always say "Bring me my bed from home" and the doctor would always laugh" She let go of my arm and we began walking out the door. Dad and Grayson were waiting outside with the cars.

"I can't help but think of all the patients that have laid in that bed before me, clean sheets or not" She smiled at me and walked beside me to the elevator.

She had talked to us about her ex- husband. He had cancer, like mom, and passed away a year after they got married. It almost made me cry after hearing her tell us everything. They had been highschool sweethearts married at 22 and then he passed a year later. In return dad shared his love story with mom. They were very similar but mom and dads Love story lasted a little longer.

We stepped in the elevator and pressed the lobby button.

"I know it isn't easy that your father is dating someone, but thank you for giving me a chance" She was looking at me and smiled.

"No, thank you. I'm so happy dad has found someone. Especially someone as nice as you" I returned her a smile, and the elevator dinged and we stepped out. Dad was standing there smiling at us.

"So happy we get to leave this hell hole" he said, as we slowly made our way to him.

"Ditto" I wobbled over to him.

He grabbed my bag from Addison. Grayson pulled up under the canopy for me to get in. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get in his jeep just yet, but i'll find a way. It had a 4 inch lift on it, so that didn't help much either. Dad opened the back door and tossed my bag in and lifted me up and put me in the front seat. That's a way.

"Thanks" I mumbled and he shut the door. The top was off and the windows were rolled down. It's a shame I can't do anything on this fine day except lay in bed. I put my sunglasses on and wiggle my phone out of my shorts pocket.

"Me and Addison are going to run by the grocery store and pick up a few groceries and then we'll be on our way"

"Sounds good, love you!" I said

"Love you too sweetie" He smiled and linked hands with Addison and they walked off.

"So, Can we please stop and get a milkshake?" I stuck my bottom lip out at Grayson as he started to drive off.

"Yes, baby, anything for you" He grabbed my hand and I gently squeezed it.

"You're the best" I smiled and looked out at all the surroundings.
