The recently reunited couple was sitting at the dinner table , right in front of each other but still somewhat distant . Jimin wanted to break the silence but wasn't sure if the younger's condition was stable enough just yet . The maknae on the other had , wanted to just tell Jimin everything but his high tiding fears made him terrified .
'What if I make him go away again ?
Maybe this time he might not return'
The older of the two had always had a strong belief in second chances and that everyone deserves one but the same-told-act repeated was just unacceptable to him ; maybe the younger's fear came from his place of this factual knowledge about his boyfriend . Thinking about all this , Jungkook had unconsciously stopped eating and was just staring at the plate . A heart wrenching thought stroke his head and his eyes were instantly filled with tears .

"Kook-ah" a quiet calm tone calmed the winds between them but the storm inside was still prevalent , "look up , look at me" .
Jungkook did as told and looked up and met eyes with Jimin . The eyes he would get lost in ever time were still the same , filled with nothing but pure love .
"Tell me , what is it ?"
The taller's soft expressions turned to the distant ones , like before , and he looked away again and tried to get up .
"Baby , are you afraid of me ?" , there was a sharp pain in the older's voice and the tears on his eyelashes barely held on . He never wanted this , he never wanted Jungkook to be afraid of him . Jimin was beating himself up inside .
'It's all my fault . I'm older , I should've handled it more maturely but reacted like a jerk'
"No , no , no , no" , Jungkook rushed to Jimin . Taking the shorter's hands in his own , he crouched down his eye level , "it's not - I'm stupid . I'm really sorry for hurting you , I never -"
"You are doubting something , it's either me or us . Isn't it ?" , the older said , as a tear fell on the taller's hands .
"Forget it , I'm stupid . I should never doubt -"
"Whatever it is , whoever it is about , the fact that you are thinking about it makes it important . Tell me , please kook-ah , I don't wanna force you if it's something too personal but I know it's about me . Jungkook , we need to talk it out . No matter how much it hurts right now , I'm willing to take it if it keeps us together."
After hearing Jimin , the younger pulls out his phone slowly and opens an article . He puts his phone in Jimin's hands and looks down at the floor . "Our place" , he mumbled under his breath  .
The older sat there silent while he read through the whole article . He gave the phone back to Jungkook and lifted his chin up with his index finger .
"I'm not dating her or anyone but YOU"
"Who .. is .. she then ? Why did you take her there ? She's not even a friend , I know all of them , none of them know her either" .
"The girl who blackmailed you"
Jungkook pulled his hands from Jimin's and started fiddling with his sweatshirt . Almost inaudible 'sorry's were repeated as the younger's guilt grew bigger than him . "Baby" , Jimin pushed away the chair and sat on the ground . He gently pulls the taller's hands back into his own , "I know everything" , the younger looks up at the statement , "I know it wasn't your fault" . Feeling like a strained dam with too much water , Jungkook finally lets the tears flow , but this time in relief , not flood water . He throws his head on his boyfriend's lap and breaks down completely . He held up long enough and he doesn't want to anymore . Jimin caressed the younger's hair softly and placed a kiss on top of his head . "It's okay , I'm here" .

After Jungkook was finished crying , Jimin wiped his face with the cuff of his hoodie and then proceeded to explain everything .

"I wanted to tell you . I hated hiding from you . I hated it when I had to lie to you about little , tiny details just to make my excuses more believable . I hated every bit of it . Every bit of me cherishes and adores you . Every bit of me loves you and wants to be truthful to you . Give me another chance , hyung . Please , just one more . I promise I'll never lie again , I swear to God I won't , I'll tell you everything thing , I'll do whatever you say . Just don't leave me . I don't know what I'll do without you . I want to kill myself right now , but the hope that you might come back , even if it's just to take your things and move out , the hope that I'll get see you again one more time is keeping me alive . I'll see you just one more time , even if I have to from a distance but just one more time . And then I'll rest in peace , in hell , for hurting an angel . I'm sorry , hyung . I'm sorry for becoming your scarred past rather than the rosy future we planned together . I hope you can forget me , I'll really pray that you do , so that at least you could move on . You clearly deserved better , way better than me . I wish happy Christmases to you and person you would choose to love after me , the one that would know how to embrace you just like I do and loves you more than I do."

Jimin folded the blood written note and kept it under the lamp on their bed side table .
Slouching down from his sitting position to lie on the bed , next to his peacefully sleeping boyfriend , the older whispered into the younger's ear , "You're the only one for me , nobody can love me more than you and nobody can love you more than me . We're the only ones for each other."
After switching off the lights , Jimin felt himself being weakly pulled onto the bed again , "It's cold without you . Cuddle pleaseeeee" . Jimin let out a small giggle at the heart-melting cuteness of his boyfriend and got under the covers . The couple fitted perfectly into each other's arms . They were like puzzle pieces , Jimin filled in where the younger felt empty and Jungkook filled the parts where the older had a void . They were perfect , but only together . The emptiness they both felt without the other was something neither of the two wanted to experience again , never again in this lifetime .
