Chapter 9 Team X

*Emelia's POV*

Alex and I walked outside to go get some deer meat out of the frezzer. I was walking in front of her when I heard a gunshot. Then I felt something in my stomach. I screamed it hurt so bad. I fell back and Alex caught me.
"Calm down." She said to me.
"What was that?"
"You got shot. Don't worry it went straight through you and hit me. You're healing up." She pointed at my stomach and she was right. The hole where the bullet went through at was closing. She lifted her shirt and a bullet fell out of her stomach. Our dads came running outside.
"What happened?" My dad yelled.
"She got shot. It went straight through and hit me. She's fine now." Alex said.
"Yeah. It just hurt at first." Dad helped me up.
"Do you think it could of been a hunter or something?" I asked. Dad and Victor shrugged. Alex walked over and picked up the bullet. Her eyes got real big and then they went black.
"Get back inside." She says standing up.
"Why what's wrong?" I asked.
"Just get inside and stay there." She said. She took off running. Super speed. Cool. I look at my dad and then at Victor. They were just as confused as me. Then Victor must of realized what was going on.
"Stryker." He said before he took off after Alex. I looked up at my dad and he looked mad.
"Come on kid. Let's go but you have to do exactly as I say. Got it?"
"Yeah." We started following Victor.

*Alex's POV*

I immediately knew who shot at us when I picked up that bullet. He is so dead. I used my super speed and ran up right behind him. Zero. He got up and turned around to look at me. Then Wade, Fred, John, Bradley and Stryker walked up behind me.
"Hello Hybrid." Stryker said.
"Big mistake, Stryker." I said through gritted teeth.
"Oh and what's that?" He said as if this were a game.
"Coming after me."
"Alex come on now. You know we don't want to hurt you." John said stepping up.
"Then back off John."
"You can't win Hybrid. So just give up now." Zero said. That's the first time he has ever called me Hybrid and told me I couldn't win.
"Guess I'm just gonna have to prove you wrong. Because there is no way in hell I'm coming back."
"Very well then. If that's how it's gonna be." Stryker said. Zero pointed his gun at me. I teleported next to him and kicked him in the stomach. I grabbed the gun and his arm and flipped him over on his stomach. I put the gun next to his head and pressed my knee down in the middle of his back.
"I never lose." I said to him. He taught me to always win and so I did. Wade ran at me with his swords and teleported behind him. I roundhouse kicked him in the face and he fell down. Then Fred tried to attack me. I stuck my hands up and blocked his punch. I grabbed his arms and threw him. He almost landed on Wade and Zero. Too bad he didn't. I looked at John and Bradley to see if they were gonna attack me too. They shook their heads and threw their guns down. I smiled a little. I guess John and Bradley were the only ones who actually cared instead of Zero. Zero had no problem with killing me. I turned around and saw Victor, Logan, and Emelia running this way. God why couldn't they have just stayed there. Wade ran at me again and started swinging his blades. I dodged everyone of his attacks and I hit his arm and disarmed him of one of his swords. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Zero about to shoot me, but Victor attacked him. The gun went off and a bullet pierced my side. Dammit. I kept fighting Wade while Logan fought Fred. John and Bradley were with Emelia keeping her away from us. I knocked Wade out and soon Fred was out cold and Zero was too. I looked around for Stryker but he was gone. I could still smell him. If I followed the scent I could catch up with him. I was about to take off when someone put their hand on my shoulder.
I turned around and saw John.
"Don't worry about it kid. He's gone and I doubt you'll be seeing him anytime soon." I nodded my head and looked over at the others. Victor walked over to me and hugged me.
"So what do we do about them?" Logan asked referring to the three guys passed out on the ground.
"Stryker has this serum that he uses to control us. Effects wore off of me and Bradley a while ago. Wade and Fred were still under his control and Zero did this of his own free will." John said looking at them. So Zero never cared huh. I should've known. I'm so fucking stupid for believing him!
"Alex, you alright?" Bradley asked.
"Yeah." I lied. I'm not alright.
"I'll meet yall back at the cabin." I said before I sped away. I have a habit of running away from my problems.
