"Seriously, Sophie. I don't know how you can remember all of this complicated college stuff when you can barely remember anything personal about your life." Sophie's college roommate, Lindsey, remarked.

Sophie didn't know either. All she knew was that the doctors had diagnosed her with a serious case of amnesia a couple of weeks prior after what they called a "terrible accident" that Sophie had been in. The one thing that Sophie could remember was a pair of ice-blue eyes and a voice pleading for her to please wake up. Sophie could only assume those were the eyes and voice of a doctor and tried to put it past herself. Yet she would see those piercing eyes in her dreams every night before awakening in sweat and breathing heavily.

"Sophie? Sophie?"

"Yeah?" Sophie asked as she was trying to focus on her schoolwork rather than whatever happened in her life in the past few months.

"Do you know that tall, blond guy over there?" Lindsey questioned, seeming worried.

Although he looked awfully familiar, Sophie shook her head no. "I barely know anyone, remember?"

"Are you sure you didn't know him before what happened to you? He seems only to be focusing on whatever you are doing."

"I'm sure it is just a coincidence, maybe we went to high school together or something. After all, I know all of the important people in my life." Sophie suggested trying to shrug it off even though she could sense something was off.

Before she had any more time to contemplate what this man was doing here, he started to stand up and walk towards her. Scared of being kidnapped, Sophie sprinted in the opposite direction. She ran through the most complex twists and turns of the hallways, not caring to worry about the concerned looks of the college students passing by.

Once Sophie knew she had made it far enough away from whatever that man was trying to do to her, she finally let herself breathe. Sophie decided to sit down on a bench to take a breather. She must have fallen asleep because she was already seeing the beginning of her recurring dream, but it turned out that she was very much awake, and the piercing ice-blue eyes were not in her dream, rather directly in front of her face.
