Jules P.O.V.

Ugh, if only Mom didn't have to pick up a night shift. I would be at Nessa's house by now instead of hurrying to make it there before she calls me worriedly.
Finally I brush my teeth and put my hair in a messy bun and get out the front door.

"Where were you!?! I was worried sick!", My best friend Vanessa asked while hugging me so tight I could feel myself losing the oxygen in my lungs.
"Mom.had.night.shift", I managed to make out when she finally let me out of her bear hug.
"Oh okay", she replied understandably.
I looked over to see Ryan, Vanessa's brother, staring at me.
"Uh, hey Ryan", I managed to say still keeping his intentive stare.
"Hey Jules", he replied with one of his genuine dimple grins. Oh how that made my stomach take a flip.
There was only silence for a few moments.
"So, Jules, I was wondering-" Ryan said but getting cut off by his sister.
"Ryan, she's not going to help you get some girl jealous! So don't ask!", Vanessa replied
After that, Ryan keep his stare and I could feel the heat in my cheeks as he gave me a toothy grin.

"Why couldn't we just stay at your place and watch some movies?", I ask Vanessa as her and her boyfriend try to swallow each other.
Ew, that's so gross.
Guess who can't wait for the movie two be over? I mentally raise my hand... this was going to be a very long night.
