𝗜 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗝𝗨𝗠𝗣 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 the highway, my boots thumping down onto the metal floor of the water tower’s balcony that wrapped around it’s edge. We looked down at the garage below, seeing it swarmed with the herd, all of them groaning as they wandered, lost forever.
Javier: I miss when all we did was track the herd. From a safe distance.
Emma: Welcome to the big leagues, Javi.
Kate: We need to get down there. We’re not getting anywhere without one of those vehicles.
David: It’s not like we can just ask all those walkers to move out of the way.
Gabe: How about we make some noise and distract them? We can use that generator.
He pointed towards a generator that stood alone in the yard, walkers surrounding it, but not noticing us above them.
Javier: That’s a great idea, Gabe.
David: When’d you get so smart, Gabe? You, too, Mari. You really aren’t the same kids I remember. I’m impressed. Really.
