"What the hell was that?!" After the match was over, which I won by the way, Shinsou dragged me back up the stairs to get some answers... understandably so...

"W-well... Um... training?" I scratched the back of my neck and offered an awkward smile. He scoffed at me.

"We both know damn well that it was a little more than 'training'. So, care to explain what exactly I just watched?" Shinsou gestured back towards the staircase we had just come from and I sighed.

"Fine... It's technically not a lie though... I really started fighting here as a way of training! Kenta runs the gym and the ring, I get a cut of earnings every night I fight... and since I can't depend on my mom anymore it felt like the best option for me. There are also strict-ish rules against fatal injuries or destructive quirk use! So it is relatively safe... though I guess being underground it is open to some sketchy clientele... but Kenta wouldn't let anything too illegal happen here! And really it isn't that big of a deal... though I understand if you don't want to be friends anymore... but please don't tell anyone! I don't want Kenta to get in any trouble because of m-"

"Midoriya!" Shinsou cut off my rambling with a shout. "Please, just breathe. I can barely keep up with you. I want to assure you I do not plan on telling anyone about this... situation. I was just surprised and a little worried when I saw you fighting today." He shot me an exasperated look and shook his head.

"O-oh... well, thank you! Um... so are we ok?" I started playing with my fingers nervously.

"Yes. We are fine, just be careful, ok? I'm not the only one that would be pissed if you got yourself hurt down there." Shinsou looked even more exhausted than usual at this point so I guided us up to my shared apartment.

"Of course! Now, we should try and get some sleep tonight, the sports festival is in a couple of days and we need to be at our best!" I dragged him up behind me, excited to have a real sleepover! Even unplanned as it is, it was pretty exciting!

Once we got up I let Shinsou explore the small place before showing him to my room. "I'm going to shower before bed. You can as well, we already know my clothes don't fit you, but I'm sure Kenta wouldn't mind sparing you some for the night." He simply nodded along.

After we both showered and got changed we agreed upon just sharing the bed. It had enough room and it would only be weird if we made it weird. The rest of the night was quiet, though I know he was having just as much trouble sleeping as I was.

By the time morning came we had both managed to fall asleep at some point. I got up first and made breakfast as I normally do, just cooking an extra plate in case Shinsou woke up hungry.

Shortly after I finished my food I heard someone walking into the room. I looked up to see a head of even messier purple hair with familiar eye bags. "There's some breakfast in the kitchen if you're hungry." He gave a nod and grumbled something that resembled a 'thank you' before retrieving said food. We spent the rest of the day hanging around the apartment and watching tv until Shinsou announced that he needed to return home.

The next morning I woke up full of excitement. Today was the day! I texted the group chat a 'good luck' message, receiving mostly kind responses, minus Kacchan assuring me he wouldn't need any damn luck. I got ready with extra energy and left a note for Kenta in case he woke up in time to see the festival on tv.

Time felt like it was going so slowly as I made my way to school and sat in the classroom waiting. I texted in the group chat to try to pass the time, but my excitement and nerves were getting the best of me. Finally Ectoplasm gave the announcements and led us to the stadium the festival was being held in. Each class was announced one by one, starting with class 1-A.
