ANDY'S POINT OF VIEW:

Since it was already 11:30 at night and most restaurants were closed, I decided to take Remi to an In N Out, something quick and easy to eat. After much protesting, I actually made Remi let me pay for his barely there meal...not like I couldn't afford $7 worth of food for him. I parked in an empty parking lot and we quietly eat our food, I can already tell he is uneasy. I just don't understand why.

"Is it bad," I chuckle, grabbing some fries.

"Oh, no, it's good," he looks up at me and gives me a small smile, then returns his stare out the window, as if he's expecting someone to pop out.

He takes small nibbles out his burger and wraps his peacoat around him tighter.

"Cold?" I ask, and he nods a little. I turn on the heat so he can be comfortable. I can't take the fucking silence and I know something is going on. "You wanna enlighten me on what happened?"

"What what happened?"

I can't help but chuckle. "You aren't yourself tonight."

Remi shrugs, grabbing some fries out of the bag. "I just have a lot on my mind I guess."

I nod, watching him take some small nibbles out of his food. His eyes are so glassy I'm actually surprised I haven't seen a tear trickle down. "What's on your mind tonight?"

He shrugs again. "It's kinda chilly tonight, huh?"

"That it is," I finish my food and throw the garbage in the bag. Sometimes good ol fast food hits the spot. I'm trying to count how many times he bites into the same fry and I already lost count at four. "Wanna play twenty questions?"

He laughs, pressing his seat back and pulling his long skinny legs up onto his chair. "Why not? You go first."

"Hmm, okay. What's your favorite TV show?"

"SpongeBob."

I laugh out loud. "Really?"

"Yeah," he giggles, "I don't watch much TV and when I do it's something I know I'll like. I don't get much time to sit and relax."

"Okay I can understand that. Alright babe your turn."

I see his cheeks pinken up at the pet name, the first time all night. Hopefully this food is making him feel better. "How many pets do you have?"

"I have a cat named Crow. Besides that...I house many stray dogs, who unfortunately is part of my work."

"I see," he smiles, leaning his head on the head rest and turning towards me. His eyes are so fucking beautiful I can't stand it. "I'd love to meet Crow one day."

I would fucking love for you to meet Crow too. "Okay, who was your first love?"

Remi snorts, shaking his head. "I never had one. Have always been a loner I guess. But like, does Adam Lambert count?"

"Sure he does. God I remember him on American Idol," I smile, placing a hand on his bent knee. "For Your Entertainment was like the gay anthem for a year."

"I still love it."

I rub his knee gently, I love how calm he's finally became. He doesn't deserve to be on edge all the time, unless I'm the one doing the edging.

"When did you find out you were gay?"

Oh, good times.

"Basketball camp when I was 14. We had this water boy and he had dark brown curly hair and green eyes. God he was my teenage fantasy. I finally fucked him when I was 17, and from then on I knew for sure I was gay."
