The Setup Chapter 1: All Things

Briana Reed had always considered herself a good girl, an obedient girl, that played it safe when it came to life.

She never stepped out of line or did anything without second guessing herself. She blamed her indecisive behavior on her mother.

Briana had always been so powerless in her childhood when it came to her Reckless mother and the horrible decisions that woman would make regarding her own child's safety so as Briana grew older she became more strict on herself.

"What's on your mind, Bri?" She had almost forgotten Peter was sitting across from her, Briana had been living in her head lately, she was too obsessed with being perfect, so afraid she'd end up like her mother if she didn't strategically plan out every step of her life.

"Nothing... I just didn't get much sleep last night, the neighbors dog kept carrying on" that was a lie, she couldn't sleep because she couldn't get the uncertainty of her future off her mind.

The two were currently at 'Dixie's Diner' together sharing a milkshake between them, she was sort of helping Peter through his feelings for MJ. "You know..." She said sort of like an out loud thought. "I could always come over on Thanksgiving as your date to make it less awkward when Harry brings Mary Jane"

Peter couldn't help but grin, that was an excellent idea, a part of him did want to make MJ jealous after all and Briana was the perfect candidate. She was not only kind but beautiful as well.

"You know I might just take you up on that offer....it would be nice to have a pretty girl to brag about" Briana couldn't help but to blush at the mention of being called pretty.

"Well then, i guess it's a date, Pete"
