Chapter 10: Overnight

1 month Later
Summer... the season where school ends, seniors graduate, throwing our papers in the air , the time where others go on a sweet vacation and others partying and having the time of their lives. She walks out of the highschool saying goodbye to her friends. She arrives home and enjoys the rest of her summer working and enjoying her life...
2 Months later
She felt her heart pumping but she sensed something, something inside of her didn't feel right.
"Something doesn't feel right" she thought to herself.
Her cousin April was already there. She texted her to tell her that she will be there in a few minutes. When she arrived she greeted everyone and went inside with her childhood friend Lily. Once she saw April she quickly went up to her
"Did you see him?"... she asked
"yes he's even cuter in person" she replied back she smiles as she stands and starts looking at her social media not until he showed up.
"oh you scared me " she looked at him with a death glare.
He flashes her a smile, that smile that always drives her insane. Things changed that night... it felt different than before everyone got along.
They went on walks but she always walked ahead of them. April and Ares were so close and she had a weird feeling arousing her... jealousy it was. She was jealous and she never felt like this before so why now?. Silence was between them, As they continued walking she ended up getting a phone call. Everyone looked at her
"I'm so-sorry" . She put her head down and answered the phone
"Hey, how are you?" the other line said.
"I'm kinda not great, " her voice cracked. She felt very weak but no tears came out
"Hey it's okay where are you right now?"
"umm well we were walking all together but I left them I'm at the front porch" she sighed heavily
"okay you need rest bunny"
"okay Ava love you take care bye" she ended the call and laid on the carpet she was so lost she didn't understand why she wasn't having fun like she used to anymore
"Hey Luna we were looking all over for you" April comes closer to her showing her warm smile to her
"yea sorry I didn't feel good so I came back i'm sorry" her voice sounded weak but she managed to hide her smile but Ares knew it was fake
"Luna, why are you so depressed? " Ares asked as she looked up to him
"I'm sorry" was all she said. She laid on the floor as her head was on April's lap. She played with her hair to calm her down. She looked at her and she kissed her forehead
"Do you feel better?" she whispered to her. She nodded her head as she caught eyes with Ares. He looked at her with a warm smile and soft eyes. She couldn't help but smile back at him.
45 minutes later
She felt a tap on her shoulder, she turned around and it was Ares, he handed her his earphone and she was confused, was there something wrong with it?
"what?" she asked, tilting her head like a lost puppy.
"put it on," he said.
"why?" she asked
"because you need something to vibe right now" she laughed and put it on.
The music started playing and it relaxed her very much. Music made her forget every negative thing in her life, it was like she was in her own world without any worries or problems.
"Better?" he asked as she smiled and nodded at him.
She felt better not until they wanted to hang out again . Everyone headed out leaving her and him alone. Before he was going to head out he stopped and looked at her dozed out stage.
"Luna hey" she looked at him
"Are you coming ?" she looked down
"I-I don't know " she said
"Please Luna I promise it will release all your stress and all the negative things on your head" he said, she looked at him deeply into his eyes, those eyes that she fell in love with, damn she fell hard, just looking into his eyes was all she needed to feel safe.
"Let me think about it, " he softened his eyes and nodded his head.
"Alright little lady" she smiled at the cute nickname.
She grabbed her phone and quickly went outside with the rest. She went in but once she did her heart was beating in worry. She sat down, her eyes glossy, she was close to crying but she forced her body not to.
She looked at April and Ares sitting side by side. She felt it being a close kiss, but April's mom called her and once Luna heard her voice she was the first one out, she sat down on the couch as she brought her knees up hugging her body, she was numb, lost she didn't know why she started to feel this way it was confusing her it was driving her insane. Lily was beside her looking at her heartbreaking state.
"Well there it goes" her tears fell from her eyes, she couldn't hold it anymore she needed the pain to go away after all it was okay to cry... right?...
"What's wrong little lady" she looked at the voice that called her it was Ares. They were close to each other. She looked into his eyes but not for too long, she nodded her head as she walked past him. She hugged her body sitting on the couch.
"you know you can tell me right?" he said
"Yeah, I know," she said as she looked down.
"Luna someone is sleeping there " she nodded her head answering her mother as soon as everyone was gone they were both left alone in the room again, she wiped her tears and got up heading to the room
"Luna, please tell me what's wrong , I'm worried about you" Please don't worry about me... she stopped her tracks and turned to face him with her teary eyes
''I'm sorry I really wish I can tell you but I just can't. I'm sorry" she looked into his eyes. I wish I could tell you that I love you, I want you and only you.
"Alright it's your life but just know I'm here if you need me" she smiled at him and left.
Her parents were already asleep so she slowly laid on the bed. She cried all night, she was hurt badly, she felt her heart and it was beating fast, she widened her eyes and her tears continued to fall she was in love, love, he was the one the whole time
"it was you all along '' she whispered to herself, after a while of crying she fell asleep with her heart pumping overnight. It's always gonna be you, overnight I'm getting high over you....
