Everyone began searching for a phone to call the police until they finally succeeded. When you get through, you quickly empty your bag and add a chocolate bar you haven't given to your friends yet. "Y/n, what are you doing?" Wu Jin asked.

"Preparing," you replied calmly, adding a few bottles of water to your bag. "We don't know how long we'll be here—days or weeks."

"But they'll come for us, right?" Hyo-Ryung asked, and you sighed deeply. Honestly, you could only hope that was true.

"Of course. Just take your time since—" you glanced out the window at the chaos, "they might be occupied with stopping the attack from spreading."

They looked at you with admiration in their eyes, especially Joon-Yeong, Gyeong-Su, and Wu-Jin. You walked over to one of the bags and noticed its size was perfect for another bottle. "Whose bag is this?"

"It's mine," I-Sak said. "You can use it." Without hesitation, you emptied her bag to make room for the bottles. "If anyone has half-filled bottles, please pour them into others so we don't have to carry too many. A heavy bag will slow us down."

Your friends follow your instructions as you put on your bag and wrap a bandage around your knuckle and wrist from home. Sometimes you feel like Doraemon with your over-preparedness. After wiping the knife with the towel you used earlier, Na-Yeon impatiently urges Nam-Ra, "Hey, do something. Tell Miss Park to come and help."

You furrow your brows, realizing that fighting now is a terrible idea given the bloodthirsty monster outside. Watching them in silence, you know things are escalating with Gyeong-Su involved. You slam your table, glaring at them in annoyance until they stop.

"Why stop fighting?" you say sarcastically. "I thought you wanted to attract those zombies outside." They look down, understanding your point.

You sighed, disappointed by their childish behaviour. You felt you might be too harsh, but your concern was only for their safety. Ignoring the other students' stares, you packed I-Sak's bag and handed it to Wu Jin, who offered to carry it while Joon-Yeong took yours. Gyeong-Su angrily glared at Na-Yeon, holding the door until someone barged in, revealing their teacher.

"Mr. Kang?"

"Are you all okay?"

Everyone nodded, and he instructed them to stack tables and chairs against the door to block the entrance. As the boys complied, you glanced at On-Jo and I-Sak. They spotted a fresh bite mark on Mr. Kang's arm. Instinctively, you moved protectively in front of Min-Ji.

"Y/n, what are you doing?"

"He has a bite on his right arm," you whispered, pointing at the injury.

I-Sak and On-Jo revealed their discoveries, triggering a frantic fight with Mr. Kang. As he approached I-Sak, On-Jo struck him with her bag, causing him to stagger back and bleed from his nose. You knew he would turn into one of those monsters. He fell to the ground, and a bone-cracking sound echoed in the classroom.

Zombified, Mr. Kang hissed and snarled at the students before sprinting toward you. To protect Min-Ji, you jumped and kicked his jaw, feeling the bone crack. As he collapsed, you pinned him down, sweat dripping from your forehead.

You groaned when you realized the knife on your table was out of reach. "Y/n, kill him!" Ji-Min shouted. "The knife's too far," you mumbled, struggling to fend off zombified Mr. Kang's bites. "Can someone help me instead of just watching?!"

You hoped someone would hand you a knife, but they had a different plan. "Y/n, on my count of three, let him go!" Cheong-San instructed.

You nodded, aware that you couldn't restrain him for long due to his strength. Taking a deep breath, you listened to Cheong-San's countdown. At three, you pulled away and grabbed your knife. He seemed intent on revenge as he tried to attack, but Cheong-San pinned him against the wall with a table. Now struggling, Gyeong-Su joined in to help.
