The sunlight brightened up the land, a cold breeze softly howling in the morning. The group of beautiful old ladies spend their time exercising to maintain their health. As for you, groaning when you glanced at your alarm. Noticed that you were waking earlier than your mother, you decided to get ready for school before getting another 'motivation speech' from her.
Once you are done, you only take a piece of bread and a cup of water as breakfast, then shove a bag of chocolates into your school bag for your friend. Whenever you saw your classmates smile because of you, your heart lit up with happiness. If you can't get one, at least they did.
Knowing that it was cold outside, you wear a Nike black jacket before starting a new day. Quietly head out from the mansion, putting on an earphone to listen to the Spotify playlist that you saw a few days ago. Ignoring the bickering people, a loud vehicle conquers the road and the cheerful students who also heading to school.
"Y/n!" a girl shout your name from afar, you crack a small smile when your gaze lands on her. When she sprints toward you, you raise your hand, gesturing for her to stop. She immediately knew what're you doing since it was like a habit.
"What is Dumbledore's phoenix name?" you asked.
"Fawkes," she replied.
Then a smile crept to your face, slinging your arm around her shoulder although you are taller than her. A perk for having an enormous father is you were 1.77 m which is very tall for sixteen years old girl but also has its disadvantages. People are scared of you, not like you care since they only judge you from the outside.
"You're correct, Miss Min-Ji. I am proud of you," you mimicked Professor McGonagall's voice which she only laughed.
"How's your mother? Is she good?" you asked.
"She doing fine. Even she makes me a lunchbox," Min-Ji happily retorted.
"Good for you."
When you two arrived, the students began to clean up their school. You were well known because of your achievement in bringing the gold medal for this school. As for your academics, you always get third place in class, much to your mother's dismay.
Your father doesn't care about your academics, he only knew that you'll become just like him, a National Intelligence Service officer for South Korea, not that your friends know except your class teacher, Miss Park. It's so suffocating, imagine your mother wants you to become a doctor like your brother taking a medical course at Seoul National University while your father wants you to become some sort of agent.
When you arrived, everyone stopped whatever they do, including those infamous bullies only to look at you. You look so intimidating, with a stern look on your face you bear, a tall height makes you look like a soldier which makes one of the students clouded with a desire to have you as his. It's like a goddess send to this downgrade life, you were the goddess who will witness all the sickness in this world. And he would only worship for you, fully.
Min-Ji couldn't help but try her best to hold her laughter. It's kind of funny how other people look at you like you going to kill them with just a single glance. But she would rather look at your bright side which only privileges her and Hyo-Ryung. Your excitement that involved Harry Potter.
Your obsession with that franchise would blow other people's minds since they would never think that you, Y/n L/n-Jin, half Korean from your mother, half (your nationality) from your father ever interested in any fandom except focus on taekwondo and academics. When you two reached your classes, you take a seat and wait for your other classmates to arrive before the class started.
A minute later, Joon-Yeong arrived with a sleepy face, not gonna lie it was amusing to you. When his gaze is locked on you, he smiles brightly, "Morning, Y/n."
"Morning," you replied politely before giving him chocolate. He thanked you which only earn a nod. You put chocolate on your friend's table, one by one, there's no missed. You may rarely talk to them but it's like a small friendly gesture to show that you cared for them. For you, they're your true family including Miss Park who assists you to manage your mental health because of the incident that make you ashamed of yourself.
Stuffing your ear with your earphone, listen to Halsey's song on Spotify while waiting. Min-Ji knew that you want to be alone for a while and she respects your decision, probably because she knew that you have a tough night which is involving your parent. You close your eyes when you listen to one of her songs, Nightmare until someone pats your shoulder.
You saw Gyeong-Su smile sheepishly, holding a bread. "I-I want to give bread. My grandma did it herself," he said, you could feel that he was nervous, are you too creepy even a friend of yours speak like this? You thought about yourself.
"Thank you," you said, taking bread from his trembling hand. When your skin accidentally grazed his, Gyeong-Su pulled away instantly before sprinting to his seat, covering his face. You look at him with confusion, especially when Cheong-San rub his back while teasing him frequently.
Then Wu-Jin did the same, except he gave you chocolate milk, your favourite. Politely, you thanked him and then take a bit of bread that Gyeong-Su gave to you before. It was delicious and chocolate milk on the side, it's the best combination for another breakfast you have that day. Joon-Yeong only watches the situation unfold in front of him, disappointed with himself for not giving you anything.
As for Min-Ji and Hyo-Ryung, they watch you and the boys with amusement, questioning you quietly for being oblivious to their feeling. It's irritating for them but what do they expect? You even barely get affection from your own family. And with sudden get, that kind of act would only make you confused and maybe question yourself for the reason you get it.
