The girl with the football helmet

This takes place a few days later so ya...

Yuno's POV

After a few days of getting to know each other we started to act just like a family.

We also learned that we were both cursed at the age of three and didn't exactly have the greatest experience after we got it.

We also shared many secrets with eachother. She shared hers and I shared mine.

Finding food for both of was though and we sometimes whent days without it. And at one point we almost starved to death so to prevent that from happening again we set out in search of food.

As I was searching I heard a shout from across the road.

"Look it is a school, they might have food in the kitchen."

"Nice! Let's go!"

"Wait, not so fast! There might be other people in there...not exactly the nice kind."

I cannot belive I had completely forgotten that we were in a war that I almost ran into what could have been a war zone for all I know!

Guess that's what friends are for!

Carefully stepping into the building I clutched a stick in one hand ready for anyone to attack.

Luckily it didn't look like anyone had been here for ages so we searched for food and soon enough we found it.

Not much but enough to last a few weeks.

After we gathered everything we decided to go.

We where a couple steps away when a person tackled me. When I got up the person backed away as if it was an axedent.

Then erie took off running.

Then I looked closer to the person in front of me and I started to realize the terror In the person's eyes but then I was interrupted by a loud thumping sound.

It was Erie and she was running towards the back of the person while holding a knife in her hands.

When she arrived to her destination she swiftly brought the knife to the person's throat.

"I have a knife and I am not afraid to use it."

Her eyes where cold and looked absolutely dead like in the horror movies.

"I'm sorry! I was just trying to survive!"

"Please don't kill me!"

There was a long pause.

Then Erie let go of her and her eyes finally came back to life!

"Okay, now that thats settled let's go."

"Wait, please dont go i havent seen anyone in days, i haven't been able to sleep with all the bombs, and im scared!"

After that we both realized the person was a bit younger than us and he was probably scared beyond belief.

After a while of talking Erie said, "why not take off that helmet? It must be hot!"

When he took of his helmet me and Erie gasped in shock.

All this time I thought he-I mean she...was a boy!

Her figure and choice of clothing looked as though she was a boy but she was a girl!

In time we learned her name, Cassidy. Her age, 9. And her actual gender.

But then there was a crash!

And a black shadow of a person filled the room and practically destroyed the place we'd planed to sleep in.

Just then I heard a scream and then the candles that were placed around the room whent out and the next thing I know Cassidy was gone.

Then and there I cursed the gods for taking anyone that was ever the littlest bit important to me.

And when my eyes started adjusting to the light I thought I saw small river of tears stream down Erie's eye...or that could have been hallucinating things due to the tears that was bluring my vision too.
