One Shots

In the palm of my hands

"Love, are you almost ready?" I yelled out to my significant other as I touched up my make-up.

"Almost," Cameron replied before they popped up from behind me. "I just can't seem to fix my tie." 

I turned back to face them, to see that they really were struggling with the tie. Asides from the tie, Cameron looked devilishly good-looking in their suit. Cameron hadn't even looked up yet as they were so focused on the tie so I finally decided to help them out even though it was cute to see them struggle over a little tie. I held the two ends and did their tie as smoothly as I could. 

"See, the dragon will fly over the pit," I told Cameron as I placed the longer end over the shorter one. 

"Circle around it looking for stragglers," I continued as I wrapped the longer end twice over the shorter end. 

"Before flying way up to avoid being seen," I said as I pulled the longer end behind and over the wrapped part.

"And diving straight back down to save any jumpers." I finished as I pulled the longer end through the wrap and straightened the tie. 

I looked back up to Cameron to find that they had not been watching me tie it but instead just stared at me. "You weren't listening were you?" 

"I was, but your beauty was distracting me," Cameron replied smoothly.

"C'mon we're gonna be late." I told them as I pulled to the door.

Cameron stopped me and stood in their place as they said, "Oh, I've got a quick fun fact for you." 

'This is gonna be interesting.' I thought to myself before turning back to them. "What is it?"

"I was brushing my teeth just a while ago and it hit me like a bullet." They said to me calmly.

I get confused a lot, especially when it came to Cameron. They took pleasure in confusing me but it tends to always end up with them complimenting me. "What hit you exactly?"

"The fact that the whole world can fit in the palm of my hands." Cameron smiled as they spoke. "Pretty cool right?"

"I don't get it. Cameron, you aren't making any sense." I told them honestly as I was again confused. "Yes, I agree your hands are pretty big but--"

I was cut off when Cameron suddenly cups my face and I felt fireworks explode in my heart. They were gonna be the death of me, but maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing, right?
