Xavier pov

When the door opened, I took out my gun and shot the people who were trying to find her. As I turned back, I saw the girl standing in the corner with a shocked look on her face. I smiled. Poor girl. She didn't even know what she'd gotten herself into.

I grabbed her hand, pulling closer to me. She resisted and tried to twist away. I let her go and took a step back. She did exactly what I expected. She ran straight towards the door.

I pointed my gun at her and said "Another step and I'll shoot you." she stopped. Her body trembled badly and i knew it was from fear.

"Turn around". She didn't turn around.

Red hot anger consumed my body. Nobody dared to ignore me. Yet, this girl...

"Turn around", I yelled. She turned and i could see tears running down her face. Suddenly I felt as if my heart was bleeding. Why do I feel like this? A wave of emotion ran through me. First sadness, then tenderness and finally anger. I let anger consume me.

There was no place for tenderness in my life. It made you weak. Any emotion other than anger makes you weak.

"Who the fuck are you and why are you here?" I growled at her, my voice low, but my tone was dangerous.

If she didn't give me an answer that I was satisfied with, I would shoot her without a second thought.

Valentina pov

I stared at the man standing in font of me, my body shaking with indescribable fear. I tried to run away from him, but he stopped me with his gun. Tears fell down my dirty, bruised cheeks.

Oh god. This man is going to kill me.

"Who the fuck are you and why are you here", he growled deeply. I knew that tone. His tone was dangerous and angry. Adam used it when he was about to kill someone.

"I.... am ....my...", i stuttered, finding it hard to talk. Adam and my father had many enemies. What if he is one of them?

Then taking a deep breath, I answered "valentina". It is better to die in the hands of stranger than live with the devil. So I closed my eyes and waited for death.
