(A/N: Just a couple notes, as I mentioned in the previous chapter, this one will be almost identical to the last one with only a few changes towards the end so you might as well skip to where Michael performs The Way You Make Me Feel with Britney Spears. Another thing I wanted to mention, the reason I had Michael have allergies is because I kept reading different reports that he was out of it during these concerts which I agree with but some people were saying he was high, some people said he was sick. I didn't know what to believe so I just did it that way. I did find out later that he was on Demerol that night but I thought adding that would be completely out of nowhere. Even though Michael was an addict I feel like it would be too soon to bring that up, but it will be addressed later. One more thing I wanted to mention, I have officially run out of Carpenters songs. I've gone through every Carpenters song ever released on their albums. There was one unreleased song in particular that I haven't used yet because I'm saving that for a specific part in the book, there is also a demo that Karen recorded in high school that I plan to use eventually but not until the fourth book. So from now on I'll be using a mix of all my favorite female singers starting with Wendy and Lisa. Anyway, enjoy!!)

105: INT. HOTEL SUITE NIGHT FADE IN:

Three days later. September 10th, 2001, the night of the second show.

RACHAEL: Michael, are you ready? The limo is on it's way.

MICHAEL: Yes, I'm ready.

RACHAEL: Ok, do you think we've rehearsed Ball and Chain enough?

MICHAEL: Yes, we've got it down pat.

RACHAEL: Great. Did you take anything for your allergies? I know they're still kinda bothering you.

MICHAEL: No, everything makes me drowsy.

RACHAEL: Are you gonna be alright?

MICHAEL: Yeah, don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Now come on, let's go. (they leave)

106: INT. MADISON SQUARE GARDEN NIGHT

The second show.

ANNOUNCER: Please welcome, Samuel L. Jackson.

SAMUEL L. JACKSON: (comes out) Thank you, thank you very much. I am honored to be here tonight to celebrate three decades in the life of one of the most extraordinary careers in entertainment history. Michael Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana on August 29th, 1958. One of nine children in the family of Joseph and Katherine Jackson. The Jackson household pulsed with music, and Michael absorbed it all. James Brown, Jackie Wilson, Sam and Dave, and so many other greats. Now, 30 years later, after his first solo single, "Got To Be There", Michael can take pride in having accomplished so many amazing things. 13 number one singles, 10 grammy awards, an MTV Video Vanguard award, two- time inductee of the rock n roll hall of fame, and of course, millions and millions of records sold all around the world. And need I mention "Thriller"? And he's not done yet! Not by far. In fact, Michael always seems to be startin' something, and to start things off tonight, please welcome three incredible performers, Miya, Usher, and the one and only, Whitney Houston! (walks off)

USHER, MIYA & WHITNEY HOUSTON: (they all come out and start singing)
I said you wanna be startin' somethin'
You got to be startin' somethin'
I said you wanna be startin' somethin'
You got to be startin' somethin'
It's too high to get over (yeah, yeah)
You're too low to get under (yeah, yeah)
You're stuck in the middle (yeah, yeah)
And the pain is thunder (yeah, yeah)
I took my baby to the doctor with a fever
But nothing he found
By the time this hit the street
They said she had a breakdown
Someone's always tryin' to start my baby cryin'
Talkin', squealin', lyin'
Sayin' you just wanna be startin' somethin'
I said you wanna be startin' somethin'
You got to be startin' somethin'
I said you wanna be startin' somethin'
You got to be startin' somethin'
It's too high to get over (yeah, yeah)
Too low to get under (yeah, yeah)
You're stuck in the middle (yeah, yeah)
And the pain is thunder (yeah, yeah)
It's too high to get over (yeah, yeah)
You're too low to get under (yeah, yeah)
You're stuck in the middle (yeah, yeah)
And the pain is thunder (yeah, yeah)
Billie Jean is always talkin' when nobody else is talkin'
Tellin' lies and rubbin' shoulders
So they called her mouth a motor
Someone's always tryin' to start my baby cryin'
Talkin', squealin', spyin'
Sayin' you just wanna be startin' somethin'
I said you wanna be startin' somethin'
You got to be startin' somethin'
I said you wanna be startin' somethin'
You got to be startin' somethin'
It's too high to get over (yeah, yeah)
Too low to get under (yeah, yeah)
You're stuck in the middle (yeah, yeah)
And the pain is thunder (yeah, yeah)
You're a vegetable (you're a vegetable)
You're a vegetable (you're a vegetable)
Still they hate you (still they hate you)
You're a vegetable (you're a vegetable)
You're just a buffet (you're just a buffet)
You're a vegetable (you're a vegetable)
They eat off of you (they eat off of you)
You're a vegetable
If you can't feed your baby (yeah, yeah)
Then don't have a baby (yeah, yeah)
And don't think maybe (yeah, yeah)
If you can't feed your baby (yeah, yeah)
You'll be always tryin' to stop that child from cryin
'Hustlin', stealin', lyin', now baby's slowly dyin'
I said you wanna be startin' somethin'
You got to be startin' somethin'
I said you wanna be startin' somethin'
You got to be startin' somethin'
It's too high to get over (yeah, yeah)
You're too low to get under (yeah, yeah)
You're stuck in the middle (yeah, yeah)
And the pain is thunder (yeah, yeah)
It's too high to get over (yeah, yeah)
You're too low to get under (yeah, yeah)
You're stuck in the middle (yeah, yeah)
And the pain is thunder (yeah, yeah)
Lift your head up high and scream out to the world
I know I am someone, and let the truth unfurl
No one can hurt you now because you know what's true
Yes, I believe in me, so do believe in youHelp me sing it
