INFATUATION (III)

I woke up an hour late since I snoozed my alarm. Sipho and I stayed up all night watching movies until it was almost 06:00 in the morning.It was already 09:48, too late to go to church. I figured out that I'd probably just call Natasha and catch up on some girls stuffs. But first I did my morning routine and  went to make myself a cup of coffee. I found Andile making soft porridge. He got alarmed by my presence and I went straight to hug him. I haven't seen him in a while now. He's been busy at the hospital, we barely see him.

"Look at you... you keep changing every time I see you" we broke the hug and I stared at him for a while.

"That's because I'm growing bro." I giggled after mentioning the 'bro' word. We laughed out loud.

"Still got humor huh... how's school?"

"School was good. I'm done. Remember?"

"Oh yeah. I totally forgot to keep up. So what course are you going to do?"

"Law... I want something different from you guys. Can you believe mom and dad want to settle my fees?"

"Let them... It makes them happy. I mean they've done it for for Teddy, me, Jerry and Sipho, so It wouldn't be a big deal"

"I don't want that. I don't want the easy way out" I pouted taking the cup of coffee he made and he gestured for me to take his as well. We walked to the dining room. I carried the mugs and he carried his plate of soft porridge and my plate of bread with cheese. We sat and started eating.

"Stop making things hard for yourself... We want you to succeed as well. I know you're smart and you know the current situation of our parents. So do us this favor and accept this offer. Besides we saved up quite a lot quite for you."I smiled and at that moment I reconsidered. My phone started ringing and it was an unknown number.

"Hi" i answered.

"Hello. It's Jabu. The doctor" I almost chocked on my bread. I stood up coughing and walked straight to my bedroom.

"You can't find the right time to call can you?"

"What?"

"Forget it... what can I help you with?"

"I want to take you out on date"

"Sorry I won't be available"

"Do you have a boyfriend"

"No I don't"

"So why don't you want to go out with me?"

"Im not ready"

"Think about it at least. Trust me you won't regret it"

"Okay I'll think about it" I said dishonesty.

"Alright. I'll call you later" he hung up. The fuck. I practiced the breathing exercise before going back to the dining room. I sat nervously and I'm sure my brother could see it. Sipho walked In.

"Good morning fam..." he took Andile's plate of soft porridge and started eating.

"So you can't make your own ey?" Said Andile.

"I checked the pot and there was nothing. You could've poured a lot of water"

"Because you married me in this house ey. Besides where's Nangy?"

"Who's that?"

"Ag forget it" this whole time I was just quiet.

"So who's your boyfriend?" Andile asked looking at me.

"Boyfriend? Why would I have a boyfriend I'm not gay" Sipho answered immediately. I wanted to laugh but this was too serious.

"I don't have a boyfriend buti (brother)"

"I thought you were asking me"- Sipho. We ignored him.

"So who made you stand up in the middle of breakfast and a very important conversation we were having?"

"Uhm... it was just a friend"

"Really?"

"Why are you sweating sisi" said Sipho smirkingly. He was trying to annoy me.

"I'm not sweating Sipho ai. Andy i don't have a boyfriend it was just a friend, he was was asking for registration dates and I had to go check on the prospectus in my file"

"Registration dates on a prospectus?"

"Buti don't you trust me. Yes there is an academic calendar in the prospectus I have and the registration dates are there."

"Just for your own information, If I find you with a boy anywhere. I'm gonna kill him"

"Hai bros don't you think you're being overprotective. She is not 15 anymore. She needs someone In her life"

"So you're the one encouraging her to do this boyfriend stuffs?" He pointed a finger at Sipho. Sipho swallowed hard and looked at me. Serves him right for having a loud mouth.

"I was just raising a point"

"Keep it"-Andile

"Can both of you relax and finish breakfast. I'm not dating anyone and I'm not planning to. You can even plug a tracker on me if you want."

"I'll do just that... I'll get someone to do it for me"

"You're joking right" I said shocked with wide eyes. Sipho excused himself from the table.

"You suggested it yourself so there's nothing wrong"

"I was just trying to make you believe me"

"I believe you. I was just warning you"

"Okay. No tracker then"

"Yes for now. As soon as you do any suspicious things, you won't see me coming"

"Okay. When is Lucy coming?" Lucy is the girlfriend. She is a well known model in the county and she's very pretty.

"She's in Dubai for a fashion show. I don't know when she's exactly coming back"

"That's good. I can't wait to see her and talk to her"

"So you complain about me, great." He stood up with his cup and walked to the kitchen. I breathed out heavily. 'Almost lost my head' I thought to myself. I took my my plate and mug and washed everything in the dish loader. Andile asked us to go see dad in the hospital so I got ready. An hour later we all finished and went to the hospital. I am going back to Jo'burg tomorrow so I need to spent time with my family.

The rest of the day goes perfect with all the laughter we had at the hospital. I'm sure other people thought we're in tavern or something. We got home late and there was no dinner. Andile ordered food from McDonalds and it'll be arriving in 15 minutes. I went to take a quick shower and I slipped in my PJs. By the time I got in the living room the table was full of food. Fried chicken parts, green salad and pudding. The guys were already eating.

"You can't even wait for your little sister... you guys aren't gentlemen enough"

"Our sister who can't even eat too much" said Sipho.

"Of course you have to say that" I sat and treated myself to wings and pudding. And no one was touching the green salad.

"Why aren't you guys eating the green salad"

"I thought you ordered it for yourself since you're the doctor here" i said.

"We'll I thought it was good. Lucy loves It"

"Clearly you cant see Lucy here bro"-Sipho. I laughed and took 5 pieces of chicken and my small bowl of pudding.

"Goodnight everyone. I'm waking up early. Who's escorting me to the airport?"

"You know that Im the only one here who can take you"- Andile. I walked to the kitchen and I could hear them talk.

"She wanted us to wait for her when she still left all this food for us." Said Sipho, he's the only one capable of saying such things. I put my leftovers In the fridge and walked to my room. I called Natty and we talked for few minutes. I told her I was going the following day. I laid on the bed and welcomed my sleep.
