Saanvi

I stretched my body and let out a sigh. Today was a hectic day at work. "You should take some time off. If you keep up with that intense work, you will look sick on your wedding." He took over my thoughts again as she mentioned the topic.

'Marriage' I am going to get married to him. Heat rushed to my cheeks as I recalled my memory. He rushed his proposal but I ain't complaining. The proposal wasn't flashy and cliche. It was sudden yet my heart fluttered. This proves my impatience. If he didn't act up on his own, we would have got married by now.

"Hello! Earth to!" Pinky snapped her fingers infront of my face. I shook my head and gave her a smile before glancing at my watch. He must be busy with the upcoming game release. I smiled as I remember the moment when he was begging me to understand. I was acting angry at that time but I totally understand. Iam a reasonable person afterall.

"What are your plans bride-to-be!" Pinky wriggled her eyebrows playfully. I gave her a playful hit on her arm. " Nothing! Iam tired today. I will go and have a warm bath, eat my stomach full and sleep after watching an episode or two. That's it!" I shrugged which made her look at me as if I was a crazy person. "Seriously?! You need to grab every chance to meet him. A love marriage has its own elements. You should...." Latha gave me nudge and signalled me to escape. I was quick to run and get into my car. Pinky ran behind me but was stopped by Latha.

"Give her a break! This is your 25th lecture of 'Love marriage' for today." Latha quoted with her fingers. Pinky huffed in annoyance. "You boring aunties don't know how to enjoy life. I was giving you free help. Hmph! Get lost!" I laughed as I waved them goodbye and drove away.

Fact to be told! I miss him. It's been a few hours since we last spoke. He told me he would visit with his parents to discuss about the arrangements and all. His gaming company is due on releasing a new game. His schedule was tight and I was busy too. There was nothing I can do. I let out a sigh and parked the car before getting off. Let's retire for today.

I took a warm bath which relaxed my tensed muscles. Should I give him a call? Let it be! He might be busy. I shouldn't disturb him.

"Woah! Mom! Thank you so much." My mom set up my bed and she was arranging my clothes which were scattered on the floor. She gave me a glare and left after her iconic warning. "Sleep early! Don't keep watching those kdramas or cdramas." I rolled my eyes and plopped down on my well made bed. Just 1 or 2 episodes won't hurt. With that thought, I started with my night routine.

It was 2:00 am when my 5th episode for the night just finished. What the hell! Why does time fly away this fast! I rubbed my eyes and put away my laptop. I have to sneak away tomorrow afternoon for a power nap again!

"Mom! We got to leave now." I announced as I started the car. It was 8:00 in the morning and we were on our way to Saanvi's house. The date is set for our marriage. We need to discuss about the arrangements and all. I was packed up with my game launch but today, I need to take care of this. She didn't call me last night and I can only assume she might be upset.

" Offo! Why the hell do you and your dad keep rushing me all the time! I was packing some sweets for my daughter-in-law. Can't you wait?" She complained as she got in.

"Please come in! How are you, dear?" Her dad welcomed us as we got in. I looked around and as expected she was no where to be seen. " You didn't have to bring these sweets." My mom shook her head and forced the packets into her hands. " These are hand made. Saanvi likes them." Her mom giggled as she thanked her. "Uh ...aunty...where is Saanvi?" She looked at me nervously and glanced at her sister. " Is she still sleeping?" She gave me a nervous laugh. "Sorry dear. I woke her up but ..." "It's okay aunty. Can I go and wake her up?" She looked at Meena again and hesitated. Was I rude? I was about to back out with an apology when uncle interrupted.
