Nerves

I'd made it to school with around 20 minutes to spare, enough time to convince Alya to take the post down before we got called for homeroom. I sent her a quick text to see where she was, and waited. 

"Talking to Nino and Adrien, get over here!!!" She replied, and I hustled inside as fast as I could. Sure enough, I saw the three of them talking by the bottom of the stairs. 

I caught my breath before walking casually over to them, waving to Alya. I saw her say something, and she walked up to me.

"Okay listen, before you kill me about the post..." She began.

"No, you have to take it down right now, if he's seen it-" 

"Stop cutting me off, I have an idea. To put your hatred for this to rest, let's get Adrien's opinion. You'll be far more likely to listen to his opinion versus mine," She explained, and I lightened up.

"Fine, but it'll get taken down either way, I will not live with this on my conscious!" I announced, pointing to the sky dramatically.

"Oh my god let's go," Alya sighed, and dragged me over to Nino and Adrien. We exchanged some friendly greetings before Alya popped the question.

"So Adrien," she said, getting his attention, "I don't know if you've seen, but I made a post on the Ladyblog about Ladybug and Chat Noir as a couple, what do you think? Marinette doesn't think it makes sense, but I think they're perfect together," She gave me a small elbow in the arm. 

"Oh, w-well," Adrien stammered, something I hadn't seen yet, "I think they're a great couple, an amazing one even. Ladybug and Chat Noir spend all this time together, and what's not to like? I mean, especially with Chat Noir. He's tall, girls love him...right?" He paused, looking at me and Alya. We nodded for reassurance, and he was back on his adorable rant.

"And Ladybug's so heroic, she'd be perfect for Chat Noir! Like, I don't get why they aren't already together, Chat Noir's the best match for her and-" Adrien paused again, and looked at us three. We were all surprised to see him so obsessed about Alya's question, and it showed. He regained his composure and firmly said, "So I suppose I could see it happening," 

We all were bent over backwards laughing, basically crying. 

"Hey, what? You asked me the question and I answered," He said, genuinely confused. Sometimes our humor confused him like that, it was so cute. 

"Yes, thank you Adrien..." Alya said, gasping for air and wiping her eyes.  When I looked up finally, I saw Adrien looking right at me, and I froze. 

"Dude, you should work with Alya on the blog sometime, you're so crazy about Ladybug and Chat Noir!" Nino suggested, making Adrien look away from me.

"He's right, I could always use a fresh perspective," Alya said, and I thought back to what she said last night about how her knowing my identity limited her content. 

Adrien was clearly embarrassed, his cheeks looks warmer. 

"Maybe," he replied.

"Also, I meant to ask you dudes- guys, I meant, if you wanted to all go to this new lake oasis thing, it's supposed to be like, gorgeous. I found it on Rose's account, and she said it was like this huge lake with lanterns and boats, super romantic I guess," Nino said.

Now I was getting warm too, and looked at Alya.

"That sounds super fun Nino, I'll definitely go," She said, crushing my entire being. 

"What about you, Adrien? You can find some excuse right?" She added, looking at him. He seemed to be puzzled on something, then snapped back. 

"Yeah, I'll find something," he said, scratching his head.
