New beginnings and burned bridges take place as Bonnie gets closer to opening the portal to the cure.

Had to update some chapters for clarity (I felt there were some plot holes and too many cringey typos, I almost confined myself to living under a rock over the shame)

Lots of behind-the-scenes things are going on to focus on Kennett's budding romance, which isn't the only thing blossoming. One more expression sacrifice needs to happen which won't be behind the scenes :)I updated the rating to M (because when I say siphon problem, I mean NOTHING good) and added new character tags with some of my faves from Riverdale (this story was always meant to be a crossover, we just haven't met those extra characters yet, I hope you still enjoy it!)

"She's not dead, she's in transition."

"Technically that's still dead." Kol said as he took Abby from his brother's arms. He carried her to the couch.

"Shut up Kol. The two of you have a lot of explaining to do. Your mother would still be breathing as a human if the lot of you had-"

"Don't put this on us!" Bonnie shouted, further angering Klaus. "Abby left town, what the hell is she doing back?"

"You neglected to inform us that our mother was channeling your entire ancestral line for more power. Ring any bells, witch?"

Bonnie pierced Klaus's eyes with narrowed orbs, her chest heaving furiously.

"And why would I tell you that?"

"You must have known about this too," Klaus glared at his baby brother, who just smirked in return.

"Especially with Elijah and his 'do whatever it takes to preserve his damned family' complex? So he can kill me or my mom? I knew that's what he'd do." Bonnie shook her head. "He once gave me your word he'd help me take you out. And he didn't. He's a traitor so no, I don't trust any of you."

"And yet you trust Kol of all people. Why, he's the worst of the lot, love. Have you told her Kol, how many people we've ripped apart, bathed in their blood, and feasted on their bones?"

Bonnie winced at Klaus's revelation. Kol's smirk suddenly contorted into a glare.

"You're in need of a lobotomy, sweetheart, if you think for one minute you can count on my baby brother here. He enjoys violence as much as I do, if not more. Take caution love, he'll discard you the instant he grows weary of your company."

Klaus gave his own evil smirk and was suddenly punched at vampire speed. Kol continued pummeling speeding fists into him then grabbed the hybrid by his throat.

"You will refrain from speaking to her like that!" Kol snarled as he tightened his grip.

Suddenly, Klaus twisted his brother's arm with his hybrid speed until it snapped out of place, then broke his neck in multiple places. Now limp and lifeless, Kol plummeted to the ground in an interim of death induced slumber.

"He really does lose his temper too often. Pity," Klaus shook his head in dismay, stepping over his brother's crumpled form. "Now, since we're allies, I'm willing to forgive that oversight in divulging information. What else aren't you telling me?"

Bonnie looked at Kol's temporarily dead body. She hesitated. "You're not going to dagger him are you?"

"Give me one reason why I shouldn't? We could have all met our permanent death!"

She then realized it was indeed necessary to apprise Klaus of the end result from the attack of her ancestors, her purloined magic, and how Kol training her to wield expression wasn't just for the spell to find the cure.
