The day came to finally see Cole after not seeing him for a month. I was so excited.

I made my way into the restaurant that we were meeting up at, and my eyes scanned the place for him.

As soon as my eyes met his I just about ran towards the table he was sitting at, but to be courteous to everyone there I speed walked up to the table.

"Cole motherfucking Caufield it has been so long since I've seen you. I've missed my best friend." I said as he got up to embrace me in a hug. He just laughed at what I said.

When I sat down I realized that he had already got me a Dr Pepper.

"Ugh, a man after my own heart. Of course you got me a Dr Pepper. This is great dude."

"I know you would've complained if it wasn't there, so I wanted to save myself and everyone else here from your loud ass mouth and just get you a Dr Pepper already."

"You're such an ass Cole."

We ordered our food, and I got some pretty good noodle soup. While Cole just got a salad. Apparently he has to keep up the "professional athlete diet." I could never.

We talked about things we had done in the past few days that we hadn't had time to tell each other already.

"I mean, it's our first game of the season, so obviously I'm gonna be a little scared. You coming to watch?" Cole sounded a little uncertain of himself when he asked if I was coming. Is that even a question, of course I was.

"Yes dumbo, I wouldn't miss it. I like that it's in Detroit. I miss having you around. I'm sad you're not staying very long. Only tonight right? And then you're leaving back for Montreal tomorrow?"

"Sadly yes. I miss hanging out with you too, but hey. We play here 3 other times this season so that's a plus."

We finished our meals talking and laughing about other things like we normally would.

After we left the restaurant we went out to the nearest mall and adventured around stores.

We ended up in Claire's for some odd reason. Like why are we in a children's accessory store?

"COLE I'M GETTING US THESE FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS. WE REALLY NEED THEM, AND LOOK." I clinked the magnets together on the bracelet.

"THERE'S MAGNETS ON THEM TOO!"

I was so excited about these little bracelets that I forgot we were in a public setting. I looked at Cole with wide eyes.

"Whoops." I whispered.

I bought the bracelets without question, and we immediately put them on.

"Ok I didn't really think this through when I got them, I just liked the magnets. Do you want the pink one, or the purple one."

Look at me, getting the worst colors to get for a guy ever. Yay. Honestly it's quite funny.

"Obviously the pink one. It matches everything I own." Cole said dramatically flipping his hair.

"Alright pink it is."

We put them on and I click them together

"Ha, they make a funny noise." Cole just started laughing over the bracelets.

"Did you know that magnets were invented like 4,000 years ago. Cause I didn't like a few days ago and I heard it on jeopardy. Just thought that was pretty cool and wanted to tell you."

"Jesus Fin, you're such a grandma. I love it."

I paused for a minute. Of course he loved it. I'll just be like the mom- or we'll grandma friend of the group. He'll never like me back.
