When I woke up early the next morning, the only thing that was going through my mind was what Cole said last night.

Did he really love me? Or am I just wishful thinking?

I didn't feel Cole around me, so I turned around to see if he was against the wall, but he was nowhere to be found.

Then all of a sudden I heard some pans fall, and then a bark, and then some cursed and laughs.

Who ever thought that apparently two grown men could have the shit scared out of them by a dog who wouldn't hit a fly.

When I went downstairs, I saw that Cole and Jack were making pancakes and feeding Bosco fruit.

"Cole Caufield and Jack Hughes now what the hell do you think you're doing?!" I yelled to them as they gave Bosco a little strawberry.

They both looked at me in absolute terror as they hid both of their hands behind their back.

"We uhh-" they both said in unison as their faces reddened from being caught.

"Guys, I'm just kidding. He loves strawberries"

They both let out a harsh breath in relief that I wasn't actually mad.

I grabbed a few pieces of fruit before sitting down at the table.

"So", Jack said as he placed a plate of pancakes in front of me.

His blue eyes almost staring into my soul as he was about to interrogate me.

"I heard from Cole that..."

Don't say it. Please don't talk about how Cole and I were cuddling last night. I will die right here, right now, before I even get to eat this food.

"You, Q, and Lukey made up."

Oh thank god.

"Yes Jack, we indeed made up. I asked Cole to bring me over there last night. I'm happy that we made up. I did not want tonight to be awkward."

"Oh thank god" Jack said, stuffing his face.

"I was getting sick of not having all of us together. It's kind of boring being just us."

What.

"Jack. We're twins. It's been us for our entire lives. We literally were in the same class from kindergarten through fifth grade, and we shared classes all through middle and high school. How am I boring? I helped you get girls man."

"This is not about the ladies Finley!"

"Twinnies twinnies, stop arguing and eat your damn food. We have to get our shit together before we see your parents for the first time in like forever."

Jack and I just looked at each other and rolled our eyes.

Yes we wanted to look nice, but our parents honestly didn't care what we wore. We could show up in trash bags and they would still welcome us with a shit ton of hugs.

Then, Jack pulled Cole down to his level (it wasn't that much cause Cole's short) but it was still enough to make Cole stumble a little bit.

He whispered something in his ear, I was eavesdropping a little bit, so I only caught my name, and the word present.

That scared me a little bit. I didn't know what to expect. Especially after what Cole said last night. He hasn't been awkward all day, so he doesn't know that I know about what he said. If he would have suspected that I would know, then he would be awkward and quiet, that's how he's always been.

After we all got done eating the food, that was surprisingly really good, I went upstairs to start getting ready.

I was looking on Pinterest for a makeup look, while waiting for Cole to come upstairs to get ready. He told me that we would be getting ready together earlier because he wanted to do some tik toks with me or something like that. Honestly, I'm not surprised, he always wanted to do tik toks with me.
