Finley is friends with Cole and has liked him for a year now. When her brother invites her to a lake house with his friends for two weeks, will that change? Will he like her back?
Most of the book will be in Fin's point of view, unless stated otherwise. * * * * * * -Fin- A few weeks ago, I got a text from my twin brother Jack asking if I wanted to join him on a trip to the lake house for a couple weeks. I knew that Kayla was going, so obviously I accepted.
Today is the day of the trip and here I am at the ass crack of dawn, waiting for the guys to get here so we can hurry up and get on our 6 hour car ride.
Now, we're split into two different cars. They were chosen completely at random. Which is always a good sign with us. In car one we have Jack, Luke, Quinn, and Alex. While in car 2, it's me, Kayla, Cole, and Trevor.
Why we decided to have Quinn and Kayla split up, I don't know. But what I do know, is that when Kayla isn't asleep all she's gonna talk about is how amazing her boyfriend Quinn is.
If you haven't gathered yet. The 4 loudest people when they're around each other are in a car together. Not the best idea.
As we got situated in the car, we decided that Trevor should drive, Kayla sit up front, and me and Cole in the back seat.
The drive was going well for the first hour. I ended up falling asleep, but it was a crap position so I decided to just sprawl out in the back seat with my head on Cole's lap. Now he was my own little personal pillow. I really didn't care about anything at this point, I'm just tired and want some sleep. It's too early.
About 4 hours into the trip everyone was wide awake and we decided to put on a playlist that we all created yesterday, cause we're cool like that.
We jammed until we were all tired again and just went on our phones.
"Omg Fin, did I show you want Quinn texted me yesterday?"
"No, do I need to beat his ass? Cause I gladly will. I don't care if we're related."
Noooo, he was being all sweet and stuff. It was so cute."
"Y'all are too lovey dovey for me. Sometimes I can't take it." I said with a loud groan.
We ended up stopping at a gas station cause we were all hungry, and boy was that a good idea. We got tons of snacks and drinks, and even got some of the gas station breakfast sandwiches. (Shout out to kwik trip croissant breakfast sandwiches cause that shit is fucking fireee)
