"So it starts then...", the girl says.
My name is Haruka Shiroma, and my family mostly runs a corporation that deals with Historic Antiques from around the world, such as old class furniture and paintings. But lately, they've been spreading all throughout Japan in trying new fields. That was the reason we moved from a different part of town, so my parents can have their hand at new business opportunities. Meanwhile, my brother and I would transfer to different schools.
But then....
~Flashback~
"Hey, Haruka. I know I asked for us to live on our own while going to our schools from our parents, but there's another thing I need to ask you for.", my brother Kyousuke asks. He's a year older than me and the next heir to being the family head. "Hm?", he asks me this as we we're unpacking into our house. He then bows his head on the floor.
"I need you to take my place as a student at Ouran Academy.", Kyousuke.
I was stunned by the request he asked for, but it explains why he would want me, his sister to move in with him. He was going to go to Ouran Academy, while I was to go to Lobelia Academy.
"I secretly enrolled into a public high school nearby and it's already set.", Kyousuke. "Didn't mom and dad gave you the papers to enroll for Ouran though?", I ask. "Yeah, about that... I wrote it in my name but in your year. And it was no problem with the entrance exam either.", Kyousuke. That's when I was a little mad, and Kyousuke jerked a little from seeing my glare. "Then what about explaining to Lobelia Academy they'll be missing a student?", Haruka. "Oh, you won't need to worry about that. When mom sent the enrollment papers, I was able to get a hold of it and tear it up, so they won't know.", Kyousuke says this calmly as if this doesn't affect him. I was starting to see some of my brother's true colors. "And why are you doing all this, may I ask?", Haruka.
"It's because I want to go to a public high school rather than another rich men's academy. Come on, I thought you would get it since you watched all those dramas and animes with me.", Kyousuke.
Ah, now it makes sense, he wants to live the kind of life with common folk students. "So when you said we'd move back after graduation, you meant..", Haruka. "Yes, I'd be going back to take over the family name and company. So that's why I'd be taking this chance to live it out, even if it's only two years. Plus with this, you won't have to go to Lobelia Academy, and you can't say I don't know that you didn't want to go in the first place, cause I could see you we're against it.", when he told me that, I looked away from him in spite.
I was going to refuse at first, but he wasn't wrong when he said I didn't want to go, I was just doing as mother told me to.
"Alright, let's say I did go to Ouran, how would I dress as you? Since I have long hair and you don't.", Haruka. "I'm glad you asked, here, I got this for you.", he pulled out a wig in the same auburn red as my hair color but shorter, almost exactly like my brother's hairstyle. Which was short and a little messy but not enough to be improper in my mother's view.
Ok his determination to go through with this is scaring me a little, it makes me wonder what else he has in mind.
"The uniform is also ready, along with the supplies you need.", Kyousuke just smiles as if it's happening. "If you had everything ready, then why did you feel the need to ask me?", Haruka. "To see what your answer would be.", Kyousuke. "And if I said no?", Haruka. "I would've dragged you out of bed and give you a lift there on the first day.", Kyousuke says plainly. That answer sent me a shiver across my shoulders, knowing he would do such a thing.
"Hahaha.. I'm just kidding. If you said no, I would've just gotten you another enrollment papers for Lobelia, since there always looking for more students. Either that, or it would've been back to our parent's mansion and deal with them.", Kyousuke.
