Missing

The letter

Tyriek only grew with worry as did the rest of her friends. The school didn't do much to help out. They refused to let people see the cameras or to let people say a word about her. It was like they didn't want her to be found- Tyriek was snapped out of his thought when something suddenly came on the board- it was Celeste? But it looked like surveillance footage- she was tied up and alone in a room. She looked injured too- What was this- Could that really be Celeste? Was she in danger? The mere thought made him fill with worry.  Discord notifications started popping up on Tyriek's phone. They were about what was on the board. It was a mess. Who could've done this? Why? What do they want? Was this even real? What do I do? Some students had started recording the board while others were just in shock. I mean how can you process what was going on. This is crazy. Why would anyone do this? But what worried Tyriek was if the video was in real time to show she was alive or a pre recording and the worst had happened. The video just then shut off and the teachers just continued on like if it didn't happen. This made Tyriek angry. How could they just act like it was nothing. As if a missing student wasn't just on the screen.

He had no choice but to continue on and hope that she was fine. After school he had met up with Jennifer Jeni Eduardo Ash and a few others to look for Celeste as they have been doing everyday hoping to find something. As Tyriek looked around on his own he suddenly was bumped into- He fell onto the ground from the sudden force. It appears the other person fell too. Looking up he saw- CELESTE? Was it really her? Before he could do or say anything she ran off. He tried to go after her but she was gone. Grabbing his stuff from the ground he noticed a piece of paper. He picked it up and opened to see it's contents inside. It was Celeste's  handwriting- Was this intentional? Did she mean to bump into him? He decided to call the others before reading what was inside. Gathering at whataburger they all sat there in anticipation. Wondering what just happened and what was going on. He opened the letter and-

The letter read
Hi hiii!

I bet you all have a lot of questions and wondering what happened to me. And there's so much to say but I can't explain it all right now- Just don't look for me. It's not safe. PLEASE for me just act like I'm dead or something. Nothing good will come from you continuing down this path. I swear I'll explain everything soon but FIRST I need you to do this for me.

I'll be fine! I swear! I can take care of myself! I promise to try not dying! :3

Reading this message only made Tyriek feel more uneasy- he wasn't sure what to do. Could he really do this for Celeste? Was this really her? Or a request from her captor(s)? It was all confusing. Everyone was silent. I don't think anyone was ready for what was in the letter. Jennifer said the one question everyone was wondering "What do we do now?"
"I think we should drop it. We don't know the situation and-"

Eduardo simply got up saying "fuck this shit" and left. Everyone just glanced at each other while Jennifer went after him.

*"Cmon Eduardo- you're being reckless again"* "NO IM NOT! I'm just trying to find Celeste. What's wrong with that? Does no one care anymore?" *"You know we do but did you not process what was said in the letter?"* "And that letter was bullshit" *"YOU don't know that. We can't just do what we want. We need to be careful. You going after her could make things worse for her. Worst case it costs her her life." "Whatever" he said storming off. Jennifer had no choice but to go back inside.

Once she returned everyone agreed the best thing was to wait until Celeste decided to contact us again. Who knows how long that would be......
