YOU AND SUGA DIDN'T REALLY TALK MUCH on the way to your classroom. Just the casual small talk.

"So, how are the kids at your job?" Suga asked as he turned to look at you.

"They're great. Very energetic, therefore I'm always super tired once I get home. Especially since I have to take care of the youngest whose still a baby along with entertaining the kids five days a week."

"Huh? Don't you have help?"

You shook your head no, "I think I mentioned her before but Machi-san, she's only a few years older than us. She had to quit because of her health."

"Oh! Is she okay?" Suga asked as you nodded.

"She's fine now. I was able to keep in touch with her."

"Well, that's good," Suga commented as you nodded once more in agreement. He then took a good look at you, "Hm, well you do look much more tired lately."

You glared at him, but without offense, "Well thank you for the observation, Sugawara."

He chuckled and you just stared. The beautiful sound of his laugh blessed your ears during that one moment. That tight feeling, it was coming back again.

"I didn't mean it like it was a bad thing. You're a strong person, (L/N). I wouldn't be able to handle six kids by myself along with school work AND volleyball." He said as you blinked. He didn't catch you staring at him which made you sigh in relief internally that he didn't catch you being weird. "Well, I hope you get some new help soon. We can't have our precious stand-in manager overwork herself."

Somehow hearing him associate the word 'precious' with you made your heart jump a bit, even though you knew totally that it wasn't like how you were thinking. It never would be anyways.

"Pfft- precious? Really?" You brushed it off as Suga just blinked as he shrugged and smiled.

"Well, yeah. You're a great person, (L/N). I mean it, I and everyone else on the team really appreciate everything that you've done for us." He flashed a smile at you and a thumbs up. "Thank you, (L/N)!"

"Y-yeah." You coughed slightly which made you stutter. You slapped your head mentally as Suga chuckled once again as he looked at you as you avoided eye contact.

"Cute." He said in a softer voice before entering the classroom and diving into a conversation with Daichi.

Blood rushed to your cheeks, your heart beating fast. Suddenly you were in a coughing fit once again and quickly turned away instead of entering the classroom. Multiple students looked at you, some concerned some just rudely staring.

"Am I sick?" You questioned quietly to yourself after a few minutes. At first, you thought it was just allergies from the seasons changing, but even then you would only sneeze with a stuffed nose, not cough like a madman.

You covered your face as you facepalmed with both your hands. Something then caught your attention— a pile of carnations.

You hesitantly picked the flowers up. Now you knew something was definitely off.

You didn't have time to think about it anymore because you saw your teacher walking down the hall to your class. You stuffed the flowers in your sleeve and pulled them over your hand so that they wouldn't fall out.

"Oh hello (L/N)-san. What are you doing out here? Class is going to start in a minute."

"Hello, Kujo-sensei! Sorry, I thought I dropped something around here but I guess not..." You came up with some random excuse. Kujo-sensei was strict but still a fairly lenient teacher. He was just intimidating from his tall stature and stoic features.

He raised an eyebrow but didn't question further. "Okay, well time to go to class." You nodded and walked inside the classroom as he followed behind and closed the door to begin class. As you made your way to your seat, you could feel both Daichi and Suga's eyes on you. They definitely heard you coughing again.

Kujo-sensei finished up his lesson pretty early before the bell rang for lunch. He let the class do whatever they wanted as long as they weren't too loud.

The entire time you were zoned out and ended up doodling random things in your notebook. It wasn't like you purposely did. Today's lesson was basically just a refresher to you since you already learned about it before.

You were minding your business when you felt the presence of people by your desk. You looked up to see that it was both Daichi and Suga and smiled at both of them.

"Hi." You greeted as Daichi turned the empty seat that was in front of you around so that he could sit facing you while Suga pulled up a chair.

"(L/N), are you sure you're okay?! I'm concerned. If you need to go to the nurse I can take you and then take notes for you too so that you won't miss anything." Suga asked frantically and you could see the worry in his eyes. He even placed the back of his hand on your forehead to check your temperature. The sudden contact made you flush in embarrassment which Daichi noticed.

"Suga, calm down," Daichi told the grey-haired male as Suga retracted his hand and sat down.

"Sorry." He apologized with a sheepish smile.

"It's fine...You don't have to do that. Thank you, though." It was getting tight again. Suga gave a look again, still not convinced. You smiled to reassure him, "I'm alright. What's up?"

"Well, we wanted to see if you were okay, but it looks like you are right now," Daichi said and you nodded to confirm that you were okay, for now.

Suga added, "Also if you wanted to join us, Asahi, and Shimizu up at the roof for lunch."

"Your presence is greatly missed, especially from thi-"

"Yeah, you've been missing lately." Suga cut off Daichi with a nervous chuckle. You did notice, however, the side glare he gave to the other male.

You felt close to throwing up again. Before you replied, the bell rang and a good amount of people got up to go to wherever they were going to eat lunch.

"Um, sorry guys. How about another time? I have something to do..." You had to leave now before you somehow were going to throw up flowers in front of the two guys.

"Oh, okay," Suga replied as you smiled softly and waved goodbye to the two which they waved back.

Sugawara and Daichi both watched your figure exit the room. Daichi looked over at his friend and placed a hand on his shoulder, "Hopefully next time."

"Yeah."
