AN: Bonnie realizes she's captivated in a beauty and the beast sort of way. Liv finds a way to visit Bonnie with the promise of freeing her and while Rebekah figures out where Kol is, she uses Hayley to find out and resolves to get her brother out, enlisting Elijah to protect Hayley.

That part about beauty and the beast is something I realized as soon as I wrote it lol a story I'm fond of by the way, and Bonnie might not mean it's her least favorite, she's just really not into it due to her circumstances.

"A revenant? Like someone who comes back from the dead?"

Kol scoffed. "Oh you do know of the lore. Strangely you know little to nothing about yourself."

Realizing Kol was either speaking cold, hard facts or he was off his century old, undead rocker gave cause for further alarm in Bonnie. She squinted her eyes, peered at him with blatant scrutiny, and pushed his shoulder back. "Let me see that,"

The text was in Latin, fortunately Bonnie was skilled in linguistics, a fact which when revealed was to Kol's delight. The entry read that while there were strong and powerful witches born with magic in their lineage, the firstborn daughter wouldn't be able to access their power, unless they died of supernatural means. After which, they would resurrect wielding great power. Any subsequent death they met after that, whether it be by supernatural means or the fault of another human, they would come back doubling their power each time. As long as they didn't die of natural causes, they would reanimate.

It computed in her head that Kol, being a supernatural, alluding to being madly -emphasis on mad- in love with her, a sentiment which doomed Bonnie to her mortal demise, had brought her here for the very reason she initially feared. She was going to die.

It didn't matter that she'd come back, if Kol killed her, she'd never forgive him, let alone love him. Bonnie wondered if his curse would only be exacerbated because there was no way she would ever love him, especially given the circumstances.

"If you kill me, and I come back, is it going to start again?" Bonnie queried, casting a faraway look in her eyes. Her mind was worlds away, heavy with the fears and trepidation she had about what was to transpire, yet somehow she managed to press a question to Kol.

"What do you mean?"

"The curse. You realize I don't love you, Kol. So that means you'll ultimately kill me," she gulped and straightened her spine. "What I'm saying is when I resurrect, there's no way I'll forgive you. In fact, I'll hate you even more. But will you be free of your curse after killing the object or your affection? Or since I'll be alive again, will it just start over again? Like a vicious cycle?"

A dejected and wistful expression came over Kol. A sign of remorse or was it regret? Either way, those were emotions Bonnie didn't think Kol capable of and she didn't want to spend all of her extra lives fleeing from Kol.

He didn't want to harm her, he had no intentions to while they had this time. In fact, that was the opposite of his plan to bring her here.

"Bonnie, that's not why I brought you here,"

Bonnie scoffed. "Then I don't get it." She slapped her hands on her thighs. "What do you want from me?"

"I just want you, love," he whispered, grabbing her hand and placing it over his chest. "To see my heart. And who I am,"

"Why can't you just let me go? I'll never love you and I don't wanna die, Kol! It's not my idea of a good time!"

"If I let you go now, you'll meet a bloody end for sure," Bonnie ripped her hand away from his chest and stepped back. She wished with all her might she could get the hell away from him. "I brought you here for safekeeping. There are twenty eight more days until the new moon comes, then I can let you out," her eyes grew wide at that, "and you can decide how you feel about me. You'll have time for a clean getaway in the event you don't return my sentiments,"
