"Avalon!" someone called. I turned my face and saw Blaze running towards me over the warm sand. I whiped over the counter. I was at work. I worked at a small cafe or maybe more of a no-alcohol bar. It wasn't to big. I was the only one working here, except for the boss of course. He gave me the job last year. I've known him since I was little. He knows everything.
The bar was down on the beach. It was very popular, even when it wasn't very warm, like now. "Hey." I said when he reached me and started making a fruit smoothie. Banana and strawberry. Two straws. I put it in front of him where he sat on the counter and leaned over it a bit. He smiled. I store into his eyes. Pretty blue eyes. He pulled a hand through my hair. "You've forgotten to tie it up again." he said. I took the hair tie of my wrist and tied my hair up. He tasted the smoothie while I washed over the dishes. "Perfect." he said. I put the other straw in my mouth and tasted. "Mhm." I nodded. "You're right. Perfect." I said. "It better be." said Kai who came in behind me.
"I need you to work tonight. Some local teenage guy is having a beach party so there's going to be lots of money to make." he said. I looked over at Blaze. "But I still get a few hours of, right?" I said. "Sure." Kai said and started working. I smiled at Blaze, who smiled back, but looked a little disappointed.
Blaze disappeared after he'd drank his smoothie. I worked a few hours before I walked over the beach to the house. I had four hours before I had to get to work again. I hurried inside and changed into a tank top. The sun was actually out today, so I didn't want to wear a sweater. I opened the door just as Blaze was about to knock on it. "Hey." I said and smiled. He held up a daisy flower for me. I took it, surprised. "What's this for?" I asked. "For our first date." he said. I felt a light blush rise to my face.
He took me to the beach we were at yesterday. A blanket was layed out on the sand.

It was a little short, but I have more planned.
