cassie was sat on the table opposite to her sat her mother.
the sun's glow invaded the living room thru the door-window that led to their backyard.

a certain euphoria feeling washing upon cassie as she ate her breakfast of pancakes at the thought that no school awaited her today.

aside from school and the sleepiness, she loved mornings; it was as if the sun shone differently, the air always felt different almost nostalgic for something she didn't actually experience.

as much as she was treated and talked to mostly as if she was five years old she knew the reason to her father not eating breakfast with them and it wasn't work.

as cassie kept eating she took in her mother's appearance; her medium length dark blonde hair messy and unkept different from usual as if she had gave up on even getting her hairbrush, her eyes looked as if she spent the whole night crying, two red marks from rubbing her cheeks from tears and her expression in general was painful as much as she forced a smile to her daughter like every morning.

she forced it just for her daughter, she loved her too much.
