"he was long gone when he met me
and I realize the joke is on me, hey!"

EVELYN sat by herself in the back of Topper's boat. He and Sarah were by the wheel, wrapped around the other. She had her heart shaped sunglasses on, a black bikini with cherries on her body. As usual, she was enjoying a book on her hands. A glass of wine by her side, the girl taking small sips from time to time. Not that afar, the Pogues were on his own boat, the tall blond boy whistling as he saw them, "You guys see that? That's the Malibu 24-MXZ, the world's finest wakesetter. Number one in luxury, quality, and performance. 200K, easy." Jocelyn was with them, picking on her nails. She looked up at that, eyebrows raising.

"We picked the wrong parents." Pope commented as all of them eyed it.

"I hate to break it to you guys, but that's Topper and his girlfriend." Kie told them, the group's eyes following them except for John's. Who pretended like he didn't see them, as he was mad at Sarah. Kiara smirked when she saw the cover of a book and blonde hair behind it, "And his best friend." JJ stared at the girl, but she was too focused on her book to notice them, "You don't have to act like you don't see us, bitch." Kiara said aloud to her old friend.

The oldest Cameron sister then realised they passed by. She was basically inside of the story she was reading and had no idea of what was happening around her. Lowering her book, her eyes immediately landed on her classmate. Jocelyn waved at her with an innocent smile, causing her to roll her eyes and hide behind her book, "I know you like me, Lynn!" She shouted, surprising the Pogues as most of the time she was quiet.

"I do not, Lynn!" The blonde shouted back, earning a glare from her sister. She didn't like that interaction, and neither did Kiara. A friendship between their sisters would mean hell to them, so they both narrowed their eyes at the older sisters.

But there was someone who was loving it, and that was JJ. Because if they became friends, then there was the possibility of Evelyn hanging out with them. And that meant more time with her. He wasn't in love, but did have feelings for the Cameron. Maybe it could turn into something else, he wanted to discover that by himself. The first step would be spending more time with her, then see if the connection was only sexual or not. He really hoped it wasn't. Because the times they had talked, some drunk conversation late at night, he had always found her interesting. He caught her eyes for a second, just what she feared. She had seen him holding a gun against her childhood best friend's head. And yet, he still was the guy who held her at night sometimes. A simple act that meant a lot to her, something he shouldn't know.

Evelyn and Wheezie walked together across the sand. The Kooks were spending their time cleaning the beach, the duo spinning each other and dancing around as they did so. Sarah was talking with Topper, probably complaining about her new obsession (John B). With an arm wrapped around her younger sister's shoulders, Lynn approached Sarah and Topper as they came to a stop in front of the rest of their friends. Wheezie wrapped an arm around the middle sister, the three of them leaning on each other with the youngest in between. If you looked at them, they could be mistaken for angels. The three with that sweet smile the Cameron's were gifted with. The one that could fool everyone.
