In the Shadows

Part 9

Izuku's POV:

We went to a store and I was looking at some hair dye with Shinso while Aizawa slept in the car. 'I might just stick with my original design, just different colors. Maybe green? Not a lot of people knew me with green hair, so maybe I can just dye the roots black and the rest green.' So I went and grabbed some black and green hair dye then left after paying. "What was your natural hair color?" Shinso asked as we were walking back to the car. "Oh, it was just green. Definitely a complete change from what it is now." I responded back. "Have you ever colored your hair before?" I asked. "Yeah, just not all the way. I liked the purple in my hair even though I didn't like the people who gave it to me, so I always dye the roots black. It matches well with the purple and it can confuse people sometimes haha." Shinso said while laughing at the end. 

We then got in the car and Aizawa drove us home. When he opened the door, two cats immediately jumped and landed on Shinso, who didn't look to fazed. 'Must happen a lot I guess'. Storm then jumped down from me and the other cats looked at him. They were all looking at each other before the two other cats nuzzled into Storm. They then looked at me, so I got down on my knees and held my hand out. The first cat, a black cat with yellow eyes, just sat there and stared at me. The second cat, a white cat with yellow eyes, immediately jumped onto me. The black cat then slowly walked over to me before laying its head on my hand. "The on in your hand is Coffee Bean, the other one is Jelly Bean. They are both twins if you couldn't tell by the names. They seem to like you, which is weird since they take forever to warm up to someone." Shinso said behind me, then moved to sit next to me as Coffee Bean went to him.

 "Alright, lets get Izuku's stuff to your room Shinso. He'll be staying with you til we set up his room." Aizawa said as he grabbed my bag without me looking and started to go upstairs. Shinso then grabbed one of the boxes leaving me almost nothing to carry. We went up to his room and it looked so cool! He had posters of all sorts of anime's and rock bands along with figurines of pro heroes. The walls were a dark shade of gray and the curtains were purple. The bed covers were also purple and he had some cat plushies that looked so adorable. "Woah, you room looks so cool!" I said, staying near the doorframe. "Thanks, you can come in you know. Also you will be sleeping in the bed and I'll just get a sleeping bag from my closet." He said walking towards his desk to set the box down. "No no it's fine I can sleep on the ground!" I said franticly, I mean it is his bed so he should sleep in it right? "Nope, you'll sleep in bed." "Fine, then you sleep in it too or else I'll take the ground". There is no way he is sleeping on the floor of his own room.

"Ok, also the cats sleep in here and they get pretty cuddly when they are sleepy so be prepared to be attacked with cuddles." he said with a chuckle at the end. "Haha, you should know that I have built up a tolerance to cuddle attacks from this little guy." I said pointing at Storm. The little cat just looked at me with a "really" face. I went to the bathroom to change into shorts and a hoodie. As I was changing I looked at the mirror and looked at my hideous self. 'God I'm so ugly, just look at these scars. I shouldn't get too comfortable here, they are probably gonna get rid of me as soon as they can.' Suddenly I hear knocking on the door. "You okay? You've been in there a while now, I was wondering if you needed help or something?" Shinso said. I went and unlocked the door before walking out. "I'm good thanks, just got caught up thinking haha." I said with a nervous chuckle. He looked a little concerned but let it go, thankfully. We then went to bed, our backs facing each other. I took a little time to look around the room. Purple LED lights went around the room, with a green lava lamp on the desk and a purple cat stuffy. The walls were a dark gray, pictures of bands, anime, and what looks like his friends were hung up everywhere.

No One POV:

Storm then jumped onto the bed, snuggling under Izuku's arm while the other two cats laid in between him and Shinso. Both boys ended up falling asleep rather quickly, which was rare for the two insomniacs. Shota walked in to check on them, only to find them facing each other with the cats in between them, all sleeping soundly. He smiled to himself, taking a picture before gently closing the door and heading back to his husband. Hizashi sat up a little, rubbing his eyes before facing Shota. "How are the boys? Are they asleep?". "Yeah they are fine, looks like they are getting along perfectly." Shota said as he was climbing back into bed, wrapping his arms around his lover once more. "G'night Sho." Hizashi mumbled, eyes already closed. "Night Zashi." Shota responded in a closed eye smile.

The night was peaceful, until a scream woke everyone up except for the person who caused the screams. Shota never got out of bed quicker than he did in that moment, slamming the door open with his capture gear in hand. He ran to Shinso's room, slamming that door open too just to see Shinso shaking a sleeping but terrified Izuku. Shota ran to Izuku's side of the bed, slapping his face a little while Hizashi grabbed Shinso away so Shota could work. After a couple of attempts Izuku woke up, screaming and crying. "Hey, Izuku, can you hear me? Can I hug you?' Shota asked, keeping some distance incase the horrified boy reacted badly to touch. All he got in response was a nod, and Shota immediately wrapped his arms around the crying boy. After almost an hour the boy was calm again, fast asleep from all the crying and screaming. Shinso was also in the bed, hugging the boy while the cats once again surrounded them.
